I was under the impression that "Deere" and " John Deere" became separate companies a few years back? We say Yellow or Green Deere here to distinguish. We are told by our Green dealer that they have nothing to do with Yellow and that Hitachi is what yellow is? Is this wrong? Are they telling us wrong?
Farm tractor green machines are seperate from earthmoving .Different dealers here anyway, cant buy a farm tractor part at an industrial dealer..Two different worlds. The green Forest machines are made in Langley ,BC at a plant called Deere/Hitachi Specialty Products
that's what we were told too. We are getting some green and yellow forestry equipment with John on them as well as Deere now. I wonder what key fits them? The Hitachi key or the dozer key?
Lol really good machine? My dad runs one identical to this one except with a bucket. In the winter he needs ether to start it every morning. For some reason the fuel drains out of the filter, and when that happens the fuel pump cant transfer fuel to the engine.
Not too common to see the 2554 mostly used in the interior with a dangle head. There is quick attach heal boom grapples out there designed for Forestry hoes. Scrubby looking wood, some maybe good for wood mizer guy and the rest is firewood.
When you use ether you turn the engine into a slave for ether. It dries out the cylinder walls and the rings get wore out and then it dont make enough compression and needs ether to start and it has about as much balls as a choir boy on zoloft. never use ether. sounds like he had a cracked fuel line and didnt fix it and just used ether to start it instead of fixing it the proper way now you think that the deere is junk due to poor mechanical upkeeping of equipment.
