Corner windows on the 5r were giving me nausea . They are not fun to move through with the eyes ... They warp the view . We went for a 6130r and do not regret it . We were supposed to change another of our fleet and get a second 6130r one year later ... Sweet Lord the price was up by 40K for the same machine . We have stalled until next Fall and will go for a 6r110 . Merci for this overview ... It was good . Have a good 2023 mr Narducci
Just started using my new 5105m with a powr8 trans. It’s such a great tractor for raking hay with. I’m using a 230 rolabar rake. It reminds me of my 6130m that we use to cut hay with. The powr8 trans is what sets that tractor apart though.
Thats amazing news, i ordered some John Deere 5105M with powerquad transmissions as i heard they are very similar to the 6 series, only big difference is the weight, chassis and price. Glad to hear the performance is similar to your 6M. I truly love the 5115R, its an amazing snow tractor but the huge downside is that awful command quad transmission!
My JD dealer sent me pics of the new Normand Hybrid coming out, it has a right side door (wing) that opens up to allow more snow. I've often considered adding hydraulic wings to one of my 92" Hybrids to see how it does.
You are aware that with the auto clutch you can just soley use the break petal right? Coming up to stoplights blowing, going into piles etc. Coming from a farm background of using clutched machines then switching to ivts later on in farming. Now I run a 5125R for snow with a metal pless on the front and pronovost blower on the back. And i must say as far as powershits are concerned this is the best ive ever ran. Idk what this trans is called probably command quad, where you hit a button to switch ranges on demand and then either use auto shift or the buttons on the joystick. I have about 750hrs on my machine now and quite like it. Finally got the front tires filled with 1k lbs of beet juice and that made a huge difference with running the plow
Yes there are smoother powershift but none that combine the auto clutch feature that ive found. Were accually looking at purchasing another 5r set up just like the one i run
Thanks for this video!:) I heard several rumors that they are already working on a new 5R series that will somewhat look like the new 9R/8R/7R/6R series tractors.and there is still the 5E series available in the 5 series lineup. ;)
Really eh? Thats awesome, i did not hear that. I only caught wind of them possibly coming out with an IVT Transmission for the 5M which would be awesome in my opinion.
@@Stefano_Narducci yea, lets hope those rumors are true:) i cant wait to see them either :D...they already offer the 6M with IVT, so why not the 5M also? Would make sense.:)
When it comes to the transmissions anything that is automatic from John Deere is still years behind compared to a an automatic transmission in a vehicle. You want a powerquad transmission and nothing else in my opinion.
