I plowed most of the storm with the 624k loader. We got 6 to 8 inches of snow followed by freezing rain then a few more inches of snow. It made for some tough plowing. I put the chains on the loader for this storm because it is still icy underneath. The following day I finished up with the 6430 plowing around the family maple sugar house. It is a fairly large yard and all the snow has to be pushed into a small area to help with spring melt run off. This is one area that I wish I had a push box. I also helped my dad out on a few of his yards by pushing back a few banks.
Let me know what you think of the short intro. I used the GoPro editor again. There were mixed reactions to the last video I did with the GoPro auto edit. Does it make a good introduction?

Your vids are great! Are these private roads you plow? I recently relocated to Georgia from Michigan, retired and sold our farm. I don't miss the cold at all, but I had a JD 2305 with a front blower and loader, and a truck with a Boss plow for our 1,000-foot driveway and I do miss moving snow! Keep the vids coming, you do a great job!

Great video, thank your for sharing it with us. I really liked the GoPro intro and the 3rd person view point. I am really glad for your videos since they give me hint what weather I will get about a month later here in Germany. Again, thank you Sir for the great plowing videos and please stay safe out on the roads.

@@TB-jj9tu I know the JD factories in Mannheim and Bruchsal. I pass the latter one each time I drive to visit my sister. Always a good moment to slow down a bit in the right lane and watch the new tractors all lined up.

I have looked at the Mannheim factory several times on google earth, impressive to see so many tractors in one place.

I liked the go pro editor. We've had no snow here in southeastern pa., thanks for the videos.

Love the videos! You must be further north, in Bangor we only got 3 inches total unfortunately.. very hard to plow with the hard sleet and ice especially with a small garden tractor!

It was very nasty snow the next day. If I had the plow fully angled trying for a full blade it would shove the front of the tractor to the side. That was the main reason I had the chains on the loader, she didn’t care what was in front of the plow. I feel for ya though I use to plow with an ATV with a homemade plow that was permanently angled to the right. It was still better than a shovel.

Is go pro editor free? Looking to my own videos and looking for a free program. I have a go pro but never realized if I had an editing program. At least you are getting some snow. Haven't even put the plow on my 6430 this year. Just g Keeps raining down here in Southeast PA

Yes it I believe it was free. It is part of the GoPro app that I downloaded on my iPhone 7 to control my GoPro 6 and it also works for my new GoPro 8.

Quick question I plow in northern nh three quarter ton ford would you recommend I use chains on rear axle or front. I have 750 lbs of weight in bed and 9 foot fisher hd2 in front. They are heavy duty studded chains. We get a lot of wet snow w ice underneath as I'm sure u do thanks
@TB-jj9tu
@TB-jj9tu 4 года назад
my father plows with a 3/4 ton gmc with a sander in the back and on a few of the yards he plows he does use chains on the rear. only reason I would not run chains on the front is you run the risk of damage when you are at full steering lock where the chains my come in contact with fenders, bumpers or other suspension components.

Bud you worry too much about what keyboard warriors have to say just keep making good content don’t worry about it so much
@TB-jj9tu
@TB-jj9tu 4 года назад
I don’t worry about what people say one bit. I just think there is enough hate in this world. Hate breeds hate and as soon as there is one hateful comments then other people feed off it and add their two cents. I make videos of pushing snow around, I’m not telling people how they should plow. I’m not preaching political or religious views, I make sure I don’t even talk in my videos yet I have had people threaten to track me down. It was so bad that I was deleting twice as many hateful comments than the regular comments that I would allow. I started putting up that comments were held for approval in the description and it cut the hate in half. I put that 4 second attention sign at the beginning and there is maybe one or two hateful comments. Some people ask legitimate questions and others may want to read them so why should good people have to read through a bunch of hate and discontent. Do the keyboard heroes bother me or scare me, not one bit but when they know their efforts to belittle me will never be posted they seem to keep quiet. Those who don’t I give about two seconds of my time to block and remove them from my comments and then they are forgotten. I don’t worry about what hateful people say, I care about what my subscribers and viewers have to read.

Video is awesome but If I was you my honest opinion you need to in summer make a bigger spot for winter snow as your trying to cram alot of snow in a very small.spot if you got more than you did this time you would be very stuck just for sake of dropping couple trees and expanding the area abit. Also I'm a loader/doze driver if I was you I'd look into adding more lights to loader maybe even just led light upgrade kits as in parts the vid is major dark I run on front of my cat loader the standard 4 light set up.tho upgraded to the super bright led lights thene I've also added a further 4 two to the front arm and two more to the roof so I've got 8 on front to light up for working I've also got two super bright led on both sides and three on rear of it. It looks like a Christmas tree lit up but its major handy for working in dark
@TB-jj9tu
@TB-jj9tu 4 года назад
Yeah it would be nice to have more room for snow but sometimes you just have to make do with what you got. I am lucky tho, I have never run out of room for snow. If the wing on the loader doesn’t make the room I need the the snowblower I have will. The lights are not as bad as they look in the video but I am going led this summer. What really need is a light that shines on my wing but yes the loader is getting new lights.

@@TB-jj9tu get two directional led mini lights for the wing that you can mount on the eing or even do like I've seen whd get 2 3ft 230led light strips on then that will fix that issue I will try find the link

Fisher is by far the most popular plow around here. I actually don’t know anyone who owns any other brand. I always have fun, even on the bad days it’s still fun.
