I like all the big name brands, but I've heard that comparing a versatile with any of the other 3 brands, Deere, Case, NH, same size power, the versatile is 180k cheaper.

Both very nice tractors. Just think the versatile is a way better bang for your buck. Pry 100k cheaper and dose the same job. With the same reliability. Cab comfort might no be as good but for 100k cheaper that's the one I would pick. Also like how the versatile and case both the the drawbar pulling from middle of tractor. Can use the weight better.

@@MonsterTracksStudios $366k price difference for non noticeable field performance is not worth it. I have tested both in my field and purchased the Case Quadtrac being the best price vs. performance of the 3.

So according to Deere the new 9r 640 uses the JD 14x engine 13.6 litre 827 cubic inch.

The 9 rx 640 is the only model that can be delivered with cummins x15 also.... the smaller models wear only JD 14x 13.6 litre

These tractor's are massive. I couldn't imagine buying one. However if your pulling massive implements or really heavy equipment and you need 600+ horsepower you'll be glad to have one of those machines. Plus they'll pay for themselves in the long run.

The John Deere is definitely better. But it's significantly more expensive. Think versatile uses the Fendt transmission. Which has been reliable. Probably comes down more to reliability and price and dealer support. Many wouldn't touch a versatile because dealer support would be minimal. Otherwise reliability of the versatile would be fine. And for much less money. But u do have to consider resale. The Deere will be mush more when it's time to trade upgrade.
