I just went on Google and looked up the primary and secondary clutch I think I bought it on eBay I can’t remember but it was sort of expensive around $200
Nice job, bet the extra HP is nice, I have a stock AMT 600 just like the one you have, I am currently upgrading the brakes to hydraulic brakes with separate left and right brake control, hoping it helps it turn a bit tighter having brake steer capability.
Is it much faster? Would be nice to see the speed, very nice job. I ran across one and really cheap and it would be awesome if a predator 670 would fit it! Caojld do some crazy off road trailing
Gabriel Mundo well The transmission that comes with it isn’t really built for speed it’s more of a low-end torque it will pull in the haul a lot. But it beats walking!
Hi! I recently did the same swap, except I left the stock belt on. It requires making new shift linkage but it looks fairly factory. Let me know if you wanted to see any pictures or anything.
Maxwell Ott Yes please send me a couple of pictures again I did this all pretty quick but it was a couple of years ago and has been running with no problems ever since I have noticed if I go through some water the belt was slipping a little bit on the clutch and it doesn’t get as good as traction but other than that I have no problems with this motor upgrade
I like it! I may be trading for one of these here soon. Condition: Unknown. Came with a property a friend bought and I don’t think he wants it. That 13 horse motor seems about right to me. Just subscribed!
As long as it has the transmission in it you can put any motor on there and it’ll work they’re really good little utility vehicles. But this 13 hp works perfect and I haven’t had any problems with it
Hello im working on the same thing right now and came by your video look great didnt not if you can help me out how did you do your mounting for the engine and how far foward did you move it i know it has to be slid up because of the sifter would hit the carb if not keep forward also how long is your new drive belt thanks for your help
@@gmcblinger1 thanks so much i will be working on this project tomorrow if you have any time to reach out to me look me up on google greenfield small engine repair llc on google all contact info is there thanks so much
Yes it was a golf cart seat I put a plywood frame underneath the bottom part my idea was I was going to be able to keep maybe two people on it but it’s very hard to do it it’s more of a one person seat straddling the frame deal.
Hello 🙂 I’m looking at buying a ole AMT 600 for the farm. I wanted to know how that thing does in the mud? We will be using it for allot of pasture driving. Thanks for your video.
Greenhorn Homesteaders The only thing I found is it’s belt driven and I’ve driven it through some water and I noticed the belt slips on the clutch a little bit when it’s wet. But it dries off pretty quick. Maybe I just need to adjust it a little tighter I just noticed it slipped when it’s wet
I am in the process on engine swapping my AMT 600 as well. However biggest issue I have run into is the belt length. I see several people have asked the same question. Can you please provide some numbers or specs on the belt, having a heck of a time finding something locally that will fit. Thank you!
I will look tomorrow for the number on the belt I’ll give you the original number from the original belt. However, I got a larger longer belt than the original one and I adjusted the motor in transmission to fit because I needed it to be longer I had more distance that was there, but anyway I’ll send you the information tomorrow.
J Loftis I went to a local Belt and pully shop here and told them the length I needed he told what he close to that and I was able to adjust to it. The clutches are on the internet $200-$150 Range
Hey Andrew I know that the predator is a cheap motor and I sort of wanted to do that before I did anything like a Honda or anything like that but to be honest with you man that motor has been every time I turn the key on it cranks and goes I haven’t had any problems with it for the money it’s a good motor!
Lol thanks Andrew but I am trying to make a side-by-side out of an old gator and I am using a original Yamaha motor so my next one should be a little bit more spiffy
I had the original belt I took it with me to the belt and pulley shop in downtown San Antonio I measured from the middle of the primary clutch to the middle of the secondary clutch and I added I think a half inch I can’t remember the exact number but I could move the motor to get a little bit of tension it worked pretty good
GIXXED1 sorry I just now found out how to reply but I basically measured it with a measuring tape and went to a local belt and pulley shop but I will try to get the numbers off of that belt and send them to you
