Great video! I just finished the carb on my 4020 and you talked me successfully through the entire process. The only issue I ran into was doing the accelerator pump; mine had both ends corroded in place so the whole thing had just came apart when I split the carb. It took more than a few minutes to deduce this problem while going back and forth between the parts kit, diagram and video wondering where things had gone horribly wrong. But I got the ends drilled out and removed and your guidance was absolutely spot on. Thanks again!

Fantastic timing on this video. My 3010 keeps dying and I've ruled out everything but going through my carb.

Looks good. Probably recommend adding a drop of blue locktite on any butterfly screw for insurance. Granted if the screw is torqued properly it shouldn't come loose, but man if it does and manages to get ingested into the engine...

My uncle and I changed the bearings on the right side shaft coming out of the differential. It's the short shaft that drives the bullgear. We had to completely tear down the rear of the tractor to get at it. A 1558 John Deere 2 cylinder industrial model with the extra powerful hydraulic system. Still use it to plow snow and stuff.

the biggest problem with this video is that screws, etc are (almost always) severely stuck. So how to get everything apart without stripping out/drilling out the screws, etc

I see comments and questions and no response from you. Informative video, however some of the parts are not as easy as you make this look. Answering some of the questions would be greatly appreciated. The accelerator pump doesn't just fall out. It is "staked" in.How would you remove it without damaging the pump? For anyone interested, a dremel tool with brass or stainless steel wire brushes are excellent for cleaning up any stubborn carbon and rust. Harbor Freight sells the little brushes (five or six in a pack) for about $5.00

Spent many years on a Deere 3010 and 3020 gas, your idle seemed a little high, idle on these was usually about 600 rpm. Our 3020 was always a bit finicky when cold, once it warmed up, it ran well........

Good video. Couple questions though and one is are there any torque requirements involved with the replacement parts? Also you mentioned in a previous video you and your family compete in pulling. Do you have any videos of your or your families competing? Would like to see them if you do. I like the antique tractor pulls more so than the modern stuff.

I wish it was as easy as she makes it out to be. My accelerator pump separated on the shaft with the spring on it. The bottom brass plunger is stuck in the bottom half of the carb. I have to get that out before I can reach the brass seat below it. It seems to be seized up. The top part and the shaft with the spring broke away. I am trying to figure out how to get the brass bottom piece of the accelerator pump out? Perhaps an easy out? Anyone ever had this problem and a solution for it? I know buy a new carb.... Oh forget the easy out the brass just spins in place. Can not get an easy out to grip into it. I am really out of ideas. Just so you all know exactly what broke on me at 12:44 in the video she is holding in her right hand the accelerator pump, it has brass fittings on both ends with the spring shaft in between. One of those brass ends is stuck in the bottom half of my carb. And it spins freely down there but will not drop out and I can not grip it with anything to pull it out either. At 2:14 into the video she just pulls out the entire accelerator pump assembly. When I tried to do that the shaft broke on me and the bottom brass end is still stuck down in the hole in the bottom half of the carb.

I always worry about her doing these rebuilds with bare hands. Gas and other chemicals can be absorbed through the skin and can take a significant toll on the liver and kidneys over time.
