I need one of those magic buttons you push to skip over the mundane parts of the day. Especially for looking for something in the shop. Magic. My saw guy can put that needle assembly back in as you demonstrated, and with great sausage fingers. I used to try to avoid messing with those until he showed me. Of course, he's done it five thousand times. Great video. As always.
That saw is made by Solo of Germany. I own a 50cc version under the name Lesco. I recently ported mine a bit and tried base gasket delete. The piston banged into the squish band. Remedy was piston top modification. Parts are rare
I had the same problem on my CS56. Couldn't find a kit anywhere for. Lucked out a local shop was an efco string trimer dealer. They were able to cross numbers and got me new carb. Slapped it on and good to go. These saws are powerhouses for their size and hated the idea of pitching it.
Quote from New Life newsletter: Persistence Is Key For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. Hebrews 10:36 Achievements come to those who remain steadfast, to those who can stay focused and positively committed no matter what. Though the winds may blow, though the rain and snow may come, the mountain stands firm. Be a mountain. Stay firm in your resolve to reach the destination you have chosen. Trivial and meaningless things will come along to distract you. Choose to ignore them and continue moving surely and steadily in the direction you have chosen. Worries, fears, and anxieties will spring up. Listen to what they have to say, learn from them and then let them go as you continue to move steadily forward. Others will criticize you, and doubt you, and perhaps even laugh at you for the steadiness of your purpose. Pay no heed to their doubts, for you are on the path toward achievement. Many will set goals, yet too few will persist long enough to see them through. Be among those who do, and you’ll experience the joy and fulfillment that only true, meaningful achievement can bring. Father in heaven, we want to be people who You can say well done to, not well thought, or well tried, but well done! Help us to persist when the journey feels long, and the path feels too difficult. Give us new strength and grant us the fervor to go the distance. In Jesus name, AMEN!
Hey bellhopper been watching your videos and love how you appreciate and work on saws. I just bought a cs 81 for 150 and the only way it starts is if i have it throttle locked and if i dont keep gassing it, then it shuts off. Do you have any tips for me?
Quote from New Life newsletter: How to Have a Good Day Because of the tender mercy of our God, with which the Sunrise (the Messiah) from on high will dawn and visit us, to shine upon those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet [in a straight line] into the way of peace and serenity. Luke 1:78-79 Do you get a negative attitude because you’re having a bad day, or do you have a bad day because of your negative attitude? Which is it? They both usually occur at the same time, so is there really any way to tell? Yes, there’s an excellent way to tell. Change your attitude and see what happens. Suddenly that bad day is not going to be so bad. The situation itself hasn’t changed, but your response to it has changed dramatically, and that can make a big difference. Some people in your town are going to have a great, enjoyable, productive day today. Others right there in the same town are going to have a lousy, miserable day. They’ll both hear the same news on the radio. They’ll both encounter the same traffic snarls. They’ll both be exposed to the same weather. What’s the difference? The difference is primarily in what each person decides to do with the day they’ve been given. Which day will you have today? Whichever one you choose. Choose to make it great. Father in heaven, it’s tempting to blame how a day goes on others and outside forces. Help us today to remember, that how our day goes is our choice. We know what we believe determines how we behave, so we ask for Your help to behave in a way that honors You no matter how our day is going. In Jesus name, AMEN! It’s so much better to start a day right, then salvage a day gone wrong.
Quote from New Life newsletter: Forget the Friction Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor [perpetual animosity, resentment, strife, fault-finding] and slander be put away from you, along with every kind of malice [all spitefulness, verbal abuse, malevolence]. Ephesians 4:31 What would happen if you attempted to go ice skating in a warm, dry parking lot? The blades of your skates would be stopped by the friction against the pavement before they ever got started. You would go nowhere. Yet if you moved to a frozen pond, then your skates would glide swiftly along the ice. Attempting to achieve anything of value while you’re angry, resentful, or dejected is just about as impossible as ice skating in a parking lot. Each moment of negativity produces friction which works in opposition to anything productive you’re attempting to do. Does it make sense to work against yourself, to create friction against your own accomplishments? Of course not. If you find that you’re not making any headway, step back and look at the whole picture. You have the power and the ability to remove the friction of your own negativity. Let go of that negativity. It does you no good. When you stop working against yourself, you’ll have plenty of energy to glide swiftly and smoothly toward wherever you’ve decided to go. Father in heaven, forgive us for holding onto things that end up holding us back. Help us to release any bad attitudes, anger, and fears, and start moving forward. Show us what areas we need to let go of today, so we can glide forward into becoming who You want us to be. In Jesus name, AMEN! Resentment or grudges do not harm the person against whom you hold these feelings but every day and night of your life, they are eating at you.
