We've got a lb341 in the UK last season, cannot speak highly enough of it. You cannot seem to block it , even when damp. One of the big selling point for us was that we can get away with 6195 on it. The claas needs 7290 for the same output. Never had a single breakdown. Buy it....
17 minutes of straight to the points, no hemming nor hawwing with constant redundancy. Everything well said. I'm curious about the cost:benefit ratio of a refurbished modified Hesston-Pandy 4910 Baler @ $25,000 compared to the more expensive new balers.
The light inside the stuffer chamber is a good idea as well for those late night miss fortune's. You never put this baler down so to speak. But you are one hell of a Krone salesman! Hope your getting commissions.
I've got 40,000 bales on my Kuhn LSB 1290 and it never gives a problem. I didn't buy a krone as I don't really like towing 4 extra tons of steel around for absolutely no reason.
I with you krone is heavy in places that just isnt necessary. I worked in a farm equipment junk yard for a while. We had few krones with the stuffer system completely destroyed. Not sure what it ate.
I see a lot of the same design in that pickup that our 569 baler has on it. Weve been pretty happy with the newer pickup design and those square teeth have done well thru 3 years now.
I also whole heartedly agree about the looks of these new balers. I am not a fan of the rolling suppository look, give me some angled sheet iron and I will be happy. I wonder too if all the plastic/fiberglass sides on these machines might cause static which would make the dust cling to them?
@@onelonleyfarmer I will have to check out the kuhn version. These look like a good machine but I am with you on the cost, why buy the next to best when you can buy the best for the same money. The only reason I could think would be financing, deere does offer some good deals from time to time. I am not familiar with the krone dealers and how they do with finance, but I might be finding out. We are looking at buying a new moco and our local guy has some krone rigs on the lot.
Magnets are a mechanics best friend , I use them to hold nuts and bolts and even wrenches ! I have a large assortment of magnetic trays to work with . Somebody told me Krone was making an estate bailer about 1/4 size then yours , have you heard that ?
The last bale eject does lay flat, in the position its in now its towards the rear witch makes the ejectors move up to engage the bale. And It does have paddles in the top of the pre compression chamber that when the material has formed a flake compresses them and actuates a cable that runs down to the stuffer mechanism. Deere made a lot of improvement to the 341 over the 340 and definitely over the kuhn baler.
I'm personally not a fan of that feeding system. Had a round baler with similar set. I think it creates more slugs and puts more hay on the outside when baling a full width swath. Where the augers separate from from rotor pushes the crop together more uniform before being pulled in.
I swear I love it when OLF reviews a baler.. cause it ain't it'll probly do that... its that design will do this... cause I've done it!!! there's just all sorts of experience layered in his reviews cause just like the song I've been everywhere, he's ran every baler, he's probly baled more large square bales then there are people in some states in his life
Awesome to hear your review after watching the other one, one thing I agree on it is ugly for me, not that it would make any difference in the performance.
I think if I was going to be in the market for a new baler,it would be the Krone or bust, that's just too much money to accept anything else Wes. At over 200-K get the best you can get the first time around.
We have had these little magnetic bowls for years in the PC world. No only can you stick them anywhere metal, but ferrous metal parts (screws & such) stay inside that bowl.
I work for Krone I'm a baler mechanic... They been running a demo unit for John Deere out here.. I haven't heard anything good about them .. I guess it's built really light? But out here on the west coast we make high density bales.. we do 1290 hdp high speeds mostly and a few HDP2..
What are the shipping weights of the balers that you were talking about Krohn versus the Kuhn versus a John Deere versus the Heston thank you for it's possible
Lot better review than I saw yesterday. Lot more detail and explanations. Erics review was it has six knotters and gave the tire size. The rest was just rambling how nice it looks. I guess your movie idea got to him. He had to emphasize to remember baler wars was his idea. He thought of it. He went out of his way to make that point. The wars won't last long as soon as he starts getting out baled he'll probably get mad and delete the channel. That's all he can do is block and delete if you don't praise his every move and Pat him on the back. Hes not a beef farmer he a "sheep" farmer, that's all he wants on his channel.
How is he doing this supposed baler wars he doesnt own a cutter i would think to to enter such a thing you would need to cut the hay tedder rake and bale
@@jwhitley101whitleyfarms9 it'll be the custom work for 2 or 3 guys he does custom work for. Wes bales more hay in 2 days then he does all season. When he put twine in the baler last spring he was complaining because he couldn't get all yellow twine so he had yellow on one side and blue on the other By the end of the season he still had the same mix. Buying shiny green equipment is his version of a participation trophy.
@@Mad_Farmer912 I asked him about his rules for his supposed wars we cut rake tedder and bale 1000 acres sometimes more and I said are you required to do all the work he said just the baler hahahah well that's only one step if you have to show breakdowns and dealer support you should have to show cutting raking baling the whole nine yards
@@jwhitley101whitleyfarms9 not that I ever see that channel will ever get big enough to be monetized, why would anyone send him videos to post for him to make money on. Post them on your own channel and try to get paid yourself. Unless he's gonna split the ad money with all participants.
The Ghost Of Lucias Clay from what I heard the guy that supposedly owned all the equipment at Eric’s farm came in with Cops and took it all back so Moser the Poser is going to have a very short war!
@@Northern_Farmer I have a Vermeer 504r and it's got the new rotor pickup with less moving parts it's the same as the new Deere pickup and you can just go it will start a bale at full speed on any grass
B&L farms Do you feel better about yourself now that you’ve set the guy straight on his use of bail in place of bale while making sure to insult him even further by calling him an ass kisser based on his mild praise of the video creators’ knowledge about the equipment he’s reviewing? Yeah, I realize that was a run-on sentence, but we have you to correct us for the err in our ways, so I’m not too concerned about it. P.S. Don’t forget to take me to task on the comma splice as well. ✌🏼
@@blfarms1687 Thank you for observing my spelling error. I usually take great pride in spelling and grammar, but don't usually call out the errors of others. Alas, I'm not perfect. Wes generates money via his RU-vid account and commenting on his posts, to my understanding, contributes to his financial success from his videos. You and I have now aided his efforts by supporting his channel. I could accomplish just as much be replying to any of OLF's videos by simply saying, "B&L Farms can suck my dick." But I won't.
He keeps saying it's a Kuhn Baler which I agree they bought the patten to it but the only original Kuhn thing on the Deere baler is the under carriage Deere redesigned EVERYTHING!!
Seems like different manufactures work great in different areas, not well in all areas. Do the research and find what works best in your area then make your final decision, if the “whatever” worked great all over the world, it would be the only one sold. Different crops, different soils, different people. Farming........ Thanks for the videos
Aww I missed you again!!! I would love to meet you when you come up to my neck of the woods! I would laugh so hard if the guy from across the river ran into you there Lol he lives real close to Deere country
You should really look at the hesston massey ferguson at a dealer that has a older baler for you to compare to the new models, your opinion of the new balers being built lighter would quickly change. The new balers are built heavier in every way you have to actually look at a new and old side by side.
Baler wars? Lol I remember watching a live stream he did last season, he didn't like the comments he was getting and looked as though he was almost in tears to the point he jumped out the tractor and blamed the straw. Baler wars lol that's funny 😂
Your neighbor doesn't want to get into a Baler war with you Wes,the Krone would take that pop can on rubber tires and pack it up into a little tiny green square and spit it out...HAHAHA!!!!.😂👍
@@bigwheel6533 Its better then all of them from what I can see,no other baler will run ground speeds of 10+Miles Per Hour without jam ups, fewer break downs, excellent dealer backing.
@@4gauge10 you are talking about the high speed model not the base models. I have seen the stuffer system all destroyed in these balers. Track systems are problem prone. Bigger is not always better. Also they are much higher. Not sure where wes is buying his krones from but here in kansas you have to pay a premium for german socialism.
@@bigwheel6533 Wes buys his Krone from a Krone dealer. Sounds like the farmers out your way are not maintaining their machines too well,I've watched alot of videos about these balers and EVERY farmer says the same thing, they are almost no trouble, when their is a issue, the Krones are easier to fix, even their standard models are twice as fast as any other machine.
@@4gauge10 oh come on twice as fast? Really lying for the germans now! All shit breaks. Who knows why those krones were junked but ive seen all makes junked. Blaming farmers for not taking care of there machines is pretty low. Sounds like your another low intelligent city schmuck.
funny how OLF explains at 3:06 how the trip mechanism works. Well that is not how it works. And by the way for those who thinks it is a Kuhn-Deere.... Well it is a Vicon LB...... watch this:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SDOW2FCFDIE.html. Watch this movie at 0:56 and learn how the packer turns into a stuffer. Also the john deere.
It’s very over priced Deere is going against the krone 1290 high speed not the hdp. The standard krone is only 150,000. My opinion is that stuffer system looks like a high wear point. I also don’t like the 18 grease zerk you have to hit every day. You even have to grease the flywheel.
Eric will tell you I'm trolling him. I'm not, I'm just trying to have a conversation. I just ask questions and point out things he said and then did the opposite. Then he gets mad when he can't give an answer. I'm blocked on all 3 of his channels. Anyone who doesn't give him an attaboy and say he's great is a troll.
My baler is high enough density to earn me plenty of profit per bale, what other reason is there. Obviously any one who doesn't have a krone is in the wrong I suppose. The resale value on my kuhn is exactly the same as the big pack, but 100,000 NZD cheaper to purchase, with a much better service from my Kuhn dealer than the krone dealer.
Nigel Clats I never said that your wrong I just said you don’t know the reason! I to was like you when it came to what I had. Now I know the reasons why I no longer own the cheaper lighter Baler. If your happy with what you have than that’s good. But when you want something different than I suggest looking into a commercial Baler.
