John Deere LX188 PTO removal electric clutch 

Thank you for the vid. My LX178's water pump is getting replaced, and I'm almost ready to pull the engine. Just waiting on the gear puller set I ordered thanks to this video since my PTO isn't moving by hand after having removed the center bolt and 3 nuts. Fingers crossed that the PTO removal goes smooth as ExLax once the puller shows up.

this worked great. used the cord into the sparkplug hole to stop the engine turning while loosening the PTO bolt.

If I switch on the mower on my Lx 178, there is a rather loud screeching noise, can this be due to the PTO clutch
