We had a 1/4 mile long drive way growing up in MN and we would use the JD model 15 flail chopper as a show blower. It did a good job of keeping the driveway from drifting.
Just came across this vid. I used to own that rotary chopper many years ago. I put the brackets on the tongue for a hydraulic cylinder. I chopped many acres with that machine. Glad to see it still going.
Thanks for the entertaining shop video's It's good to see the choppers working out for you in the end. That machines like some of the stuff my customers buy used or have owned for years that I get the privilege to work on. One guy summed it up like this when he picked his machine up. "Well the bad news is it's a pile of crap and I still have most of it left by the looks of it. But the good news is after 2 days in the shop and some parts, it probably works as good as it's going to now". Take care.
I was watching your video and noticed you might be able to turn the receiver hitch on the tractor upside down and might get you even more of a drop on the hitch of the flail chopper yet. Just what I am seeing...
I realize you are working the edge of the corn here, but I wonder how many feet you will be able to go before the cart is full once you get in to the thick of it.
