You have probably the best MCUT ( Med compact utility tractor) Deere makes. Run the same thing with a bucket in the front and a snowblower to the rear. With the cab and a dual SCV valve to the rear you can put the snow where-ever you want and never have to get out at all. I like the bucket to the front to move big snow piles further back to to break up previous piles that have frozen solid. One other thing is the front bucket can be used to push or rock yourself out of a stuck spot as well if that ever happens. I have also found is that chains on R4 tires are picky since they usually fall into the groves between the treads and do little for traction if you ever get them. Enjoy your tractor and keep posting up.

I'm giving the JD 3720 serious consideration for purchase this year. I'm 25 miles west of Boston; on a 10 acre + lot. Lots of fallen trees, some laying in a river; ugly. Anyway, I've also been looking at the 333G with a Forestry Package. I know, I know; big differences between the 2. Majority of the potential use, for both, would be downed trees/grapple & snow removal. One of the characteristics of the 3720, I like, is it appears to have a thinner footprint than some of the other series; "skinnier" in physical appearance. So, that would make it a lil' easier picking up those trees; coming in & out of the woods I would think. The 333G is a greater investment, but more than capable of doing any type of work on my land. I'm 65, so I also ask my self if at 75 or 82; do I want to be crawling in & out of the front of the 333G? The 3720, for me, would probably be more user friendly over time. On the other hand am I trying to make the 3720 do something, on a fairly continual business; that it is really not made to do? As my father used to say: "trying to make a purse out of a sows ear". Tree problem isn't going away; 2 - 5 drop after snow or rain/wind storms in the spring & winter months here. After surfing a few of these RU-vid channels; a couple of the hosts did a "Buyer Beware": suggesting to be extra careful, because; apparently with the cab, it can be top heavy & possibly flip in different situations. That may have to do with a thinner footprint; perhaps? In the old days, some used wheel spacers to accommodate a larger tire for muscle cars. I never did; thought they were dangerous. I see them, out there, being promoted for tractors; are they "a thing" now? Safe, reliable & rustproof etc? I still have to figure out which of the 2 is a better long term play. In the interim; what's you're experience, or heard about spacers? Secondly, have you had any negative experiences with you're 3720 being "tipsy"? I enjoyed you're video; certainly nice to see all of those attachments being put to good use!

Thank you for posting these videos. We just bought a 4066r and its our first tractor. We also bought a TR3 with the profiler, so its really nice to see some implements put to work with a similar size tractor. This makes me feel very good that it will be a great machine for our ranch. How many acres of hay do you have? we will also be in the market for a bigger tractor in order to hay about 180 acres, any recommendations?

Have you ever used the bucket to lift round bales. Do you think it would lift it
@RMSpeltzFarm

Yes you can add spike to bucket that's removable and it works but the whole setup gets longer to work with for turning and such

Will it handle the 5 foot bales?
@RMSpeltzFarm
@RMSpeltzFarm 9 лет назад
Pennsylvania Farming Absolutely, it picks up more then my skid at 2200lb off the rear and my bales here are normally 1000-1200lbs and if we use the the neighbors bigger john deere those bales at 5 by 6 really only weight about 1500lbs to 1600lbs. Most of the bales around here really never get ever past 1 ton even though they all say 1 ton bales=)

ReefDVMs oh wow I can't get more the 900lbs out of our 459. John Deere said it was the crop condition. You got me considering a smaller machine like this for little jobs like moving hay off. It really looked like a rough ride broadcasting that seed though.

Pennsylvania Farming As for the rough ride the air suspension seat is the best option on this beast you can get. I plow hard clay soil here and the ground gets rough easy and I really should have been driving slower but I get a little heavy footed. One nice thing about the compact tractors is the fuel savings and easy moving around the barns when unloading, the down side is the width they feel little more tippy due to the narrow base, I added molasses to the rear wheels and 4 inch spacers to widen the beast out some after that video was made and love it even more since then.
