Thank you for posting this! I'm sure that this info would apply to most all of the 300 Z Trak series .... Last fall I purchased a 345R model, and it your 335 appears to be pretty much the same machine. So far I'm well satisfied with the JD 300 ZTrak ... I'm really amazed at the quality of cut these mowers provide. I'm getting ready to remove the deck and give it a good cleaning plus install mulching blades. Hopefully it won't interfere with the finish achieved with the standard blades .... If so, I'll dress up the originals and go back to them. Btw, if anyone is considering purchasing a zero-turn and reads this, as we all know, there are tons of zeroes out there to choose from. As already stated, I bought a 345R model last fall, and so far I'm very well satisfied with it. I've honestly never owned a mower that gives a better finish than the John Deere! Having always owned John Deeres (200/300 models), this one mows ax great as any I've ever used. Thank you again for posting! Blessings to all!
Mine is the #3 summer coming I just changed everything at 45.6 hrs oil & filter plugs air filter gas filter , there aren’t many places to lube as per your video, I also purchased a second set of blades and swap them out at 25 hours than I sharpen the others
I had an issue where the front wheels were rusted to the axle bolt of the caster on my z255 (very similar model). What kind of lube would you recommend putting between the axle and bearing to prevent this?
I have the Z345M which looks identical to your Z335E and from what I've read the spindle bearings are sealed and pumping grease into the zerks does nothing for the bearings. The fix is to take the bearings out and remove one side of the plastic seal replacing them with the open side of the bearing facing towards the middle of the spindle then you can pump grease into the bearings. That's just what I've been reading but cannot verify because I haven't torn mine down yet to see.
Another point to having a mower with few problems is never let it rain on your mower if you can avoid it ..some people will leave uncovered not a good idea 🤪
@@ScottBurnette do you know why my z355e 48 inch can't cut less than 2" high?(broken 2 belts when I trying tu cut at 1 3/4) only used 4 times still like new,any ideas about this issue?
@@DavidHernandez-ue4fz I would say that the belt is out of alignment at 1.75", I would see if there were any adjustments to move it up. I'll look online and see if there are any adjustments.
Video / Photography tip: having a bright light behind your subject doesn't work very well. Next time, if you are going to have the garage door open for natural lighting, turn the equipment so that the brightest lighting is behind your camera, shining directly on the subject. maybe off on a slight angle so you don't cast a shadow on the machine. But try to turn it a bit so the bright light is not shining directly into the camera lens. This will give better lighting on the video subject and prevent the washout problem you are having on the right side of the frame,
