Epic aren’t they mate! I was so pumped catching that. A more common way to target them is with live bait so I was really pumped getting one of a soft bait. They taste incredible too 🤤 Thanks heaps for watching Dāv!
What an interesting looking fish! I'm guessing the meat is white, with small flakes? Stellar day, new place, new fish...but it was Old Reliable Motor Oil that snagged him in. I've heard tell there's a different mindset between "fishing" and "catching". Both are pleasurable, only one is thrilling. 😉

Yep John Dory is a firm, white and flaky meat. Absolutely stunning eating. You've got that right with fishing and catching. I'll take both but you sure get a buzz from catching.
