Childhood friends, both married elsewhere. The main event was raising money for cancer, for her and for Anthony Warlow. Opera and theatre singer... all legends here. Try Granada from this one.
John has been married to the same women and still is. He and Olivia have been friends for many years and love and respect each other. The chemistry shows us the 'love' they have for each other but purely platonic. Such a beautiful love song. You can't go wrong but watch more from this sold out concert The Main Event. There is a third artist who was part of it ...Anthony Warlow a tenor and musical theatre star of Phantom Les Mis etc. John and Anthony sing a semi operatic song Granada which show John's incredible vocal abilities and with a shot of humor to it lol Love this reaction my friend
Absolutely beautiful. Such chemistry and yes it is real, but only as really good freinds. The concert was him supporting his good freind Olivia who was recovering from cancer at the time along with another freind Anthony Warlow. Their voices are so good togther. They toured together a few times and have a few albums togther. Their voices blend so perfectly togther and your right, even in his 70's John's voice still has that youthful tone
You reacted to John Farnham a long time ago to his rendition of ‘Help’ and ‘When something is wrong with my baby’ with Jimmy Barnes. Would be so great to see you do some more of his songs. ‘Black Dog’ and ‘when the war is over’ are two mind blowing vocal performances!!
You would enjoy listening to John sing. When the war is over. I’m sure someone can link you to it. Sang in 2003. The range of Johns voice is outstanding. It’s an outstanding masterpiece Love and good vibes to John and his family 💕💕
John Farnham is a mega star in Australia. He refused to sing with Mariah Carey but he accept to do a duet with Céline in her tour on his song Your The Voice.
OMG. I can't stand Mariah Carey. She is the ultimate "look at me and only me". She would have run out when our John simply did his thing and outsang her without even trying. 🤣
@Xavier He doesn't say no way. The guys says are u going to sing with Mariah when comes out (meaning Celine as Mariah wasn't touring in Australia), John then says 'not with Mariah but with Celine, maybe we'll see). The paparazzi guy then says 'celine sorry.' You guys are acting like he hates Mariah and would never sing with her (which he might hate her, not who cares). John never said noway and never exclaimed any negative impression for mariah.
A beautiful song written by Graeham Goble (Little River Band) given extra spice by two extraordinary Aussie performers. I never tire of watching this performance. Nice review, mate.
@@Dr_KAP And a Kappy New Year to you, my dear tube-surfing buddy. Please leave the whipper snipping to a designated driver this year. I'll still be expecting to get my wings clipped by you down the road, just not with the whipper snipper.❤🩹
Great reaction. Love your take on this duet. Such a beautiful performance. Olivia Newton John has a beautiful duet with Andy Gibb (Rest your love on me), and the same song in 2020 with Barry Gibb, on his Greenfields album. It would be wonderful to hear your thoughts about these. And john farnham is stunning with just about anything. His Its a long way to the top is a great rock live performance
More of John Farnham with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra are "Help"ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dv54giOSRKs.html and "You're the Voice" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6m2m_9UijsoH.htmle is always superb in concert. We Aussies love him
I love that you talk about his regular tone. What you may not be aware of that John Farnham can sing anything and I mean it from rock to opera jazz rhythm and blues coun and pop he can/ could do it all. He has performed with Ray Charles, Tom Jones and miss celine Dion.
John and Olivia started on TV and recording around the same time when they were teenagers and there were only a few weekly music shows. They were two big talents and friends for life. John has been married to Jillian, a dancer, for 49 years.
I love this duet and agree with all your comments about the youthfulness and clarity of John's voice. But his harmonies with Olivia are masterful too, as he could easily overpower her voice, but doesn't. He would be chuffed to hear you mention him in the same sentence as Stevie Wonder as he is a big fan and supported Stevie on one of his Australian Tours. Just one more thing that makes me love him as I'm a big fan of Stevie too.
Because your channel name is "JustTheVoice", does that mean you should only be playing John Farnham songs as he is known as "The Voice" to all Australians? 😁
Nice reaction! You should react to "Dare To Dream", their duet at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Opening Ceremony: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qsLLzL27hYA.html
