Nach fünf Jahren Pause sitzen die Frontmänner von The BossHoss wieder auf Deutschlands berühmtesten roten Drehstühlen. Im Wettstreit mit den weiteren Coaches Yvonne Catterfeld, Mark Forster und Sasha batteln sich The BossHoss um die beste Stimme ab 60 - bei "The Voice Senior" ab 23. Dezember in SAT.1.
"Mit 'The Voice Senior' geben wir zum ersten Mal ganz bewusst einer älteren Generation die Chance, uns mit ihrer Stimme zu überzeugen", sagt Yvonne Catterfeld. "Das ist die Geburtsstunde eines neuen 'The Voice'-Universums", sagt Mark Forster. "Es ist das erste Mal, dass Sängerinnen und Sänger über 60 gegeneinander antreten", sagt Sasha. Moderiert wird "The Voice Senior" von Lena Gercke und Thore Schölermann.

And how old was Farnsy when he last performed around the time of the covid pandemic? He was born in 1949. Pandemic was early 2019, his 70th year. And did he do a charity event after then? 1.10.23. UK. E❤

I just watched John Farnham at 70 years of age do this at the live Fire Fight Australia concert 2020 - he can still get those notes! But all kudos to Dan Lucas who did an epic version of 'The Voice' - truly awesome.

Bei uns in Holland gibt es jetzt gar kein The Voice mehr (obwohl Holland damit angefangen hat), und alle Videos aus alle Staffeln sind gelöscht worden. Unter den Umständen finde ich das auch richtig, aber ich vermisse vor allem The Voice Senior.

I agree 100% best performance on any Voice shown anywhere in the world. Dan Lucas is a singing star and beats the rest thumbs up. He's got a tornado voice. never heard anything like it in my life before. Must have watched his performances a hundred times. Still can't believe it

Hahaha. This is THE Dan Lucas, vocalist of Karo. He worked with greats as Desmond Child (composer of biggest hits of Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper and Kiss), Kane Roberts (Alice Cooper guitarist), Manny Charlton (guitarist Nazareth), Loverboy and Robin Beck. He wrote and performed the theme song of the 1996 Olympic Games. He even toured the world with Meat Loaf. And we have to be happy that elderly people can also show their talent on tv nowadays? This IS talent. REAL talent. Today's "talent" is only based on followers, likes, looks and autotune : fake, shallow and empty.

The judges knelt out of respect for the song and Dan for delivering a song so relevant and meaningful today as it was growing up to this Aussie anthem when it came out in the 80’s. John Farnham would be so proud. Onya mate from Straya. Generational rock stars of the universe.

Wenn man ein Tenor ist, ist man halt ein Tenor. Der gute Mann hat nach wie vor eine feste Stimme und hat absolute Kontrolle über sein Falsetto. Da ist es dann kein Wunder, dass er so singen kann. ;)

Closest iv ever heard anyone come to covering this song like John Farnham, powerful voice, he even sounded Australian. Wonderful audition Thankyou from Australia. Just wish I could have had captions for judge’s comments.

captions of the judges: They were overthelmed of course. The rock judge with the longer dark hair said: you have to have balls to also sing the high parts like he did. and that its the dream of all men to capture the high notes so beautifully (and generally) The judge with the cap (Mark Forster) did tell, that the song is very special to him, that it came out when he was 3 years old and its his first concrete remembered and loved song memory cause they (parents) had this record laying there at home and that since then he loved/loves this song and that Dan gave him a beautiful powerful moment. Later on he added that normally he's very heartbroken when a talent he wants to have chooses another judge and during the show then he has difficulties to enjoy or like ;) this talent BUT in case of Dan, he said, even if Dan chooses another judge, he will be wearing a fan shirt of him all over the show and enjoy every moment. Sasha, the judge with whom he went was telling him also something about a huge moment dan spent him with this audition. and Dan decided for taking Sasha because (at least this was his arguement) for himself it was the same huge moment...
