RU-vid compresses into formats that have a lower audio fidelity. It used to be they let you choose, but I haven't uploaded anything lately so I'm not sure of the upload choices. However, I can also state that the encrypting software that people use to produce their uploads determines quality as well!
John Farnham is an Aussie legend. He's the only artist in Australia that has hits in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90,s and 2000's! He has an amazing range in his voice, and can sing all genres of music. He is mega talented, but very humble, down to earth, and really appreciates his fans. He has a cheeky sense of humour....something Aussies call...a larriken. (joker). That's why his fans love him. And even people who don't usually like his style of music much, still like him as a person. He is well loved here. He recently performed this song with Celine Dion on her Melbourne concert a month or two ago. Apparantly, she is also a big fan of his. We affectionately call him.....Farnsy! (Aussies give everyone a nickname).

My country is directly north of Australia. And Farnsey (Farnham) is an absolute legend up here. "You're the Voice " is a staple in Youth Rallies nationwide. Definitely listen to more of his songs, he has some amazing ones, all hits. Been singing since he was a teen, started off with a little cheesy hit, Sadie the cleaning Lady lol, and then became a massive star of epic proportions with way better songs, especially during the eighties and nineties. Like with anything, make sure to listen to the studio versions, I find live performances lose so much quality. You'll love this one even more if you hear the studio version. This one sucked in comparison lol
John Farnham has been around here in Australia since he was a teenager- got his start singing 'Sadie the cleaning lady' (yep! That's the name of the song) and just about everyone from his generation knows it off by heart 😍
During our bushfire firefighter relief concert towards the beginning of the year an aboriginal singer named Mitch Tambo joined John Farnham on stage to join in singing this song, using some of his instruments and in one of his aboriginal familial dialects. It was fabulous to watch. He also has performed the whole song in his native language and it's also stunning to hear, You can find some of his performances of it on RU-vid too, I loved it so much I downloaded it off iTunes and listen to it quite often. Tom Jones loves him (they have concerted together) as does Celine Dion and Tina Turner (who did a cover of his cover of "Help") Short (ish) History 1967 this man burst into our lives and after 50+ years everyone EVERY ONE knows all his songs!!!! (yet none of us will admit to it! ;) ) As Johnny Farnham he won the Mums over with TV Crooning, Then on stage played "Pippin" and Jesus in "JC Superstar" (His "Gethesmede" is to die for) He stepped into "Little River Band" in the early 80s (they toured US) and was checked out for Queen when Freddy left us and then took a gamble on "Help" and his album "Whispering Jack" 1986 He's done heaps for our community earning "Order of Australia" as well as "King of Pop" [5 times] and other Entertainment accolades Since his 1960s TV days, he's often done duets with Olivia Newton John and they opened the Sydney Olympics He's also worked with Anthony Warlow (Opera Baritone) and their "Granada" duet is Brilliant! The best song to show off his vocals is "Please Don't Ask Me" he's done it for 50+ years and ALWAYS hit's the High G!!! Now almost 70 he's given up the humongous tours (he was on stage every second of the 2.5 hours of his concerts, 6 concerts a week for months!) and the Strenuous Aussie Rock 250% performances, but still happily does albums and smaller gigs, relaxing into Acoustics, or Soul and Jazz feels. He also does benefits at the drop of a hat to raise money (millions) for our Farmers and to help the survivors of Cyclones, Floods, Drought and Bushfires. So glad you have found him ENJOY! :) and yes I have met him (3 times including having lunch! He calls me "Red in Blue" and thinks of me every time he sings "Have a Little Faith in Us" - from his "Romeo's Heart" album 1995, as he was recording it when we met!) and yes what you see is what you get! A TOP BLOKE!!! (a pity the sound hasn't come across clearly on this clip, not to worry you heard it and we'll all go listen to our favourite versions! :) )
Live is the only way to hear this song. This should be our (Australia) national anthem. John is in his late 60s now and last month closed the live aid concert FireFight in Sydney (Feb 2020). That is worth listening too as well. Check out the whole * Whispering Jack * album. John also sang this song at a concert for the troops.
I first saw John in Canberra when he and I were mid teens. Been a fan from the start and Im now 66. There’s good reason we call him The Voice. And we love him because he didn’t feel the need to go to the US to ''feel' successful. Glad you’re getting to know him.
More recent Farnham, he still delivers amazing vocals and deserves to be heard all over the world. And his only 71 yo young. Ps he still sings this song in the original key.

Yes, I gathered that as the video went on. I forgot that British English and Aussie English makes it silent. Here in the US we say the H. Haha. Like BirmingHam or CunningHam. Hahaha. We have such weird accents.
John held the record at Rod Laver Arena for the most concerts in a tour for a number of years until Pink broke that record with 18 shows in 2013. Rod Laver Arena holds over 15,000 people. He is phenomenal in concert - have seen a few of them. Shame the rest of the world missed out but he belongs to us so we don’t mind. Rock on Farnsey 💕💕💕💕💕
John was the original recording artist of this song and was his break out record after his career started to peeter out by the 80s. It was #1 for weeks including in Europe and Scandanavian countries. From here on, John had numerous chart toppers and awards. The audio on this wasn't the best but still enough to show this man's talents. You are right about the Celtic vibe ... a feature of this is the bagpipes and many of his concerts have the pipers on stage. Tom Jones, Ray Charlies, Celine Dion and Quincy Jones are all admitted fans of John. There are many people with beautiful voices, but John interprets a song and the music to perfection. He’s so humble and such a nice guy. This song is our unofficial national anthem! Also, if I knew how to post it I would but to see what a nice guy he is you should search RU-vid for Tom Jones and John Farnham when they both appeared on this weekly show on a Saturday night called “Hey Hey it’s Saturday”. He was so star struck by Tom.
Ahh....Chain Reaction. John's voice was a bit rough around the edges when this was recorded(late in the tour) but Chain Reaction is still the BEST Farnham DVD to buy. Most of Farnham's DVD are region Free BUT they are still in PAL video format(tough for American TV equipment to deal with)....but a computer can play anything(as long as the DVD is Region Free)....and even the Region Code can be easily defeated on a computer.
You should go into broadcasting. You have a lot of abilities that broadcasters have. I watch many reaction videos to see if the person likes it. I don’t always care to listen to the person. Your a reaction video isn’t who enjoyable to listen to. So keep doing what your doing

Wow, what a crappy sounding version of this song. My god, there are a dozen other live performances of this that are superior. What a shame you found the worst. Hope you see something better than this. John is a total legend with the voice of a Rock Angel.
The sound was fine, I’m not sure why it matters. This is the only link that had the full video. The rest were mainly audio only. But this was a specific request from a patron. I watched what the requested. The sound was fine in this video. Literally no one has complained except you.

My sound is fine. If you don’t like it in the other hundreds of videos I have posted. I don’t know what to tell you. You’re not required to watch my videos or even comment on them. I’ve done this for fun and that’s it. We can enjoy an artist and their music together if you’d like. Or you can try another content creator. Have a blessed day!

I have better voice audio in my 4x4 & fishing videos that are shot on a Samsung S8+ with a Rode VideoMic Go in the outdoors with wind & waves smashing but hey, what would I know? Your voice is fine, the audio from the clips you play though? Yeah, not so much. If that's how you react to constructive, helpful criticism, then you're going to take a really long time to build your channel, if it really builds at all. Good luck to you
