Time for several corrections: John is 75 years old this year, Courtney has been retired from racing for several years. John has 3 Sons-in-law, Robert Hight married to john's oldest daughter Adria , Robert is out on medical this year but prior to this year drove the Cornwell Tools car, Danny Hood married to Ashley and serves as John's crew chief, and Graham Rahal married to Courtney and drives in the Indy Car Series for Rahal-Letterman Racing. Austin Prock is driving the Cornwell car in Robert's place due to loss of sponsor for his Top Fuel car. As for the safety developments, when John's team lost Eric Medlin due to head injuries caused by violent tire shake John established the Eric Medlin Project that works on developing safety improvements, devices and education to help prevent those types of injuries.
