1990 UNH outdoor concert: RHCP introducing John Frusciante. They broke into "Crosstown Traffic" and "Tiny Dancer." Absolutely, an experience I treasure. The RHCP w/ and w/out J. Frusciante are awesome but as a long time fan: Frusciante's guitar work could stand on itself and it has beyond his contributions to the RHCP.
John is what happens when you know a thing like harmonics better than most anyone ever in the history of music but he has absolutely no interest in anything else at all not fame nor recognition.
I was in this concert where he performed SOS by Abba. back in 2006 or 07 in Serbia. He was being in very bad state. The concert was delayed by 2 hours. The rumor was that John was not ok. They drove him with a helicopter and then he did this performance the same that night. Probably one of the favourite moments in my life. I was only 11. Long live my brother
When Christine McVie passed away I must have listened to this song 25 times as I felt another part of my childhood was gone. It is a beautiful song and John Frusciante gives it the justice it deserves.
You just love him. Whoever you are you love him in any way. Trust me whoever is reading this, this man is a savior. When you're feeling sad he can make you feel better. When you're feeling happy he can make you feel even better. Whoever you are, you love this man.
Wish he could have saved River Phoenix. I'm a huge fan of John Frusciante RHCP and solo career. It's Amazing he survived his addiction he was in really bad shape close to death Wonder how he survived & River died on the sidewalk of the infamous Viper Room So Sad

Congratulations Gus. It’s really hard dealing with addiction of any kind. I need to deal with 3 of mine. Tobacco, alcohol and another. One at a time is the only way I believe. How did you stop?
Congrats Gus I've been sober for 6 weeks quite cold turkey after 20 plus years of drinking and rhcp with John is my all time favorite band been following them since 1991 stop listening to them when John quite now he's back 🙏😍🤩👍
Yes he did. I was there. Jan 31st 2007. In FT Lauderdale. He sang See Emily Play by Pink Floyd. It's on you tube.

What an you say from near death with heroin to this the guy is a big insperatiin for me i always think better to come i had same probs or have the same probs but i will never give up the fight when life is so shit it can okly get better look at this man down n out only to come back more awesome than befote.... He absolutely nails it when performing with rhcp but I absolutely love his solo albums, that's where he truly shines when you hear him express himself beautifully especially in his earlier track omission.
Notice the great influence of 70s music on his musical formation! - ABBA - Elton John - Bee Gees - Donna Summer And among other influences. He should make an album like Foo Fighters in homage to the music of the 70s! Disco Music is a huge influence on him.
To be fair, nobody including Kiedis ever claimed he was a great singer. He was just a raw vocalist in a music landscape where they were chasing this funkadelic punk vibe
nonsense John is a pretty good for an open mic evening... Anthony has an iconic voice and presence, you hear every word clearly. that being said, the appeal of melodic sensitive singing is undeniable.
