Love the moment where he just strums the song and let's the audience clap. It's a very tender moment in the middle of a rock show. John's songs usually are but that part was really nice. Don't know but it seems like he even gets wrapped up in it for a second too.
Can someone please convince this man to record all of his covers and release the recording! I will pay good money to purchase such an album. Better yet, can some convince him to tour - an evening with John Frusciante - and he perform whatever he wants. I'd pay good money to attend.
I like to think that this is John saying goodbye to the band and all the fans. He lived through hell early on. I've been through the same exact thing. Addiction takes your very soul. Even the ones who do make it back from hell, only a very few get to redeem themselves the way john did. He did amazing things and made some of the best music in the history of recorded sound when he came back to the band. But he had to follow his heart and say goodbye to the band once again to do his own thing and this time it was for the right reasons. God bless you John, you've always been an inspiration for me and so many others. Thank you for sharing your talent and soul with us.

I don't get how some people dislike this video... it's absolutely ridiculous. This cover of Fleetwood Mac sounds absolutely incredible. John Frusciante deserves more notoriety as a solo artist...
This probably was the last big gig before he left...so maybe in his heart this was a goodbye song to the fans. You gave it all dear John, love you forever.
damon hackney: One of my favorite covers of a FM song is Billy Corgan's solo acoustic version of "Landslide" on Smashing Pumpkins' b-sides compilation album, "Pisces Iscariot" (released between "Siamese Dream" and "Meloncoly..."). If you haven't heard it, it's hauntingly beautiful and minimalistic -- just him, his guitar, a 4- or 8-track recorder and subtle background noise (muffled sound of traffic coming thru an open window).

I loved josh. All part of carrying the torch. Chili peppers may have broke up if he'd not joined so im thankful he took on the role and he did produce great music.. not to everyone's tastes but that's to be expected with fans that are used to seeing JF.. But now jf is back and it's great news. I'll go see them somewhere on a European tour wherever I can get tickets, Germany, Spain, Poland, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, austria .. wherever.. love the chili's and I'm so happy and excited to see what music they release.
