I think everyone gets nervous before a show. Once my Dad told me that if you're not nervous before a show you shouldn't be playing anymore. But that's just what he said. I know I get nervous before I preform but it feels SO good to play music for someone.
The lyrics can mean what ever you want them to, how songs make you feel is the best thing in the world in my opinion. The pure emotion Frusciante puts in his songs is amazing, even stripped down to just vocals and acoustic they're still beautiful. Some how this man can draw tears to my eyes with ease, anything from his work with chilli peppers to his solo stuff. Not to even touch on how amazing of a guitar player he Is, ever since I picked up the guitar John Frusciante was my biggest inspiration not just with his tracks but also his live performances, his Jams with Flea and Chad are phenomenal. How everything he plays just seems to be perfect and it feels as if every note he puts his soul into, his guitar faces which would seem to be ugly are some how beautiful. This man truly opened my eyes to music, a whole other level which I never thought was there. I have an octopus on my arm dedicated to John Frusciante and the chilis asterisk on my wrist, just because they mean so much to me and I never want to forget what this band has done for me. Thank you to John Frusciante. And thank you to the Red Hot Chili Peppers
!!!QUE PODEROSO SER HUMANO!!! ME SIENTO HONRADO DE COINCIDIR CON ÉL EN LA MISMA ÉPOCA! INMENSAS GRACIAS POR SUBIR ÉSTE REGISTRO!!!! Un abrazo desde Chile!
I've first heard this song in early 2002, on a dark freeway after dusk, with the lights of industrial ruins zipping past and my mind all set on melancholia. That's the feeling I still associate with this song: Cautiosly Apocalyptic. If that doesen't make sense for you.... well, I sincerly hope you've got your own feelings.
I've said it before, I'll say it again. The man is a fucking genius. Talent. Pure talent. I want nothing more than to see him live in a lil place like this.
best damn guitarist alive. and yeah nillz, there's something childish, something little weird (in a positive way, of course) about him. I love the way he's devoted to the music and... well, I've heard it has something to the with the years of doing drugs... like his brain isn't what it used to be. may be.
I think its the same guitar as he used in the "past recedes" music video...goes to show you he doesn't need the best and brightest new guitar, being one of the all time great guitarists...he prefers to keep it simple, familiar and comfortable with what he has known for years. He probably still drives the same car too...money doesn't distract him from creating his art
The guitar he is playing here and on the entirity of his album Curtains is an amazing vintage pre-warMartin 00-15. So no he does not need the best equipment, but he certainly has some really really good equipment.
His Gretch guitar costs like 3.000$ and he had a pedalboard bigger than my house lmao.So i guess he keep it simple is his personal life, but when it comes to create art he wants to take the best of it! I think that Martin 00-15 costs like 1.200$
@pianOguy36 & al. : I think John uses vintage Martins, older models more or less equivalent to the recent 000-15 series. Among the vintage models you can find the 17-series, for instance the 00-17 (that's my ultimate guess ;) ).
Just becouse JH invented that sound on guitar doesnt mean that there is not gona be better player in future then him. I know JH music very well, his songs, intervievs, books about his life, and also all that for Frusciante. Im just saying that my thinking is that Frusciante is better, he can play in more directions, more dinamic, he can go from balad to rock in 1 song and it sounds amazing, he is more open and can do funk, pank, rock, balad, hendrix was not that flexible.
Hendrix could do all that playing with his guitar behind his back and with his teeth at the same time. I don't think there is any "Good" or "bad" in music, that's just opinions. I like both hendrix and little john but it's a fact that no guitarplayer has moved so many listeners, directly or indirectly since he has influenced almost every electric guitarist there is.
I personally think that he is better then Hendrix. Deth gives that special popullarity like Kurt from nirvana. Hi was even more popular after he died. I dont think that hendrix would be that much popular if he is still live, he would be popular but not like god of guitar. So if almost everyone say that John Frusciante is god, and he is stil a live, I think that he is then better then JH
Nevermind my last comment. I can see from your channel that you are a troll looking for attention. Please don't bring your negative energy around good music. Also...Sage Francis rules.
ending up like john, singing with gold voice, playing guitar like god , even with not his teeth, and fucked up skin on arms makes me wanna start doing heroine
