Practice guitar for 15 hours a day. That is why he is such a great guitar player. Wow.

His technique is crap lol, 15 hours a day is a load of lies. His technique and song writing is no better than your average guitar player of 2 years.

Strange how he said how he feels great, but his music showed that his heart and soul were in immense pain, and the addictions were brainwashing him.

John is brave for having to have been that role model to the rest of the world but not only for the drugs but for being a human being. theres more to a human being than just being, what he says should be common knowledge. you can connect with him for many things, music, guitar, drugs, but i connect with him from a human being. glad we didnt lose him. we need more peopple like him.

Cheers for your reply, I wondered about mental illness when i heard him talk about the spirits that spoke to him when he used heroine and the fact he says he has real conversations with his cats. Otherwise, he does make a lot of sense, even more so now that his mind is clear of heroine etc. Listening to john really opens my mind, he is a pioneer exploring the depths of the human condition through music and dimensions unseen. I am a student nurse doing mental health currently. thank you :-)

Imagine if he had never used drugs to enhance his creativity. I agree he doesn't appear to be in great shape physically; however, for my money he definitely had his mind and presence about himself. One can easily sense just how truly aware he is. It’s apparent to me that he could have chosen a number of things to devote his energy to, anything he wanted to be; I’m glad he chose music and guitar.

@retroguy02 the VPRO is a dutch broadcasting station. VPRO stands for Vrije Protestantse Radio Omroep (Free Protestant Radio Broadcasting Station), a bit of a misleading name which hasn't been changed since the 1960s. After the Netherlands secularizated the VPRO began to make arty and musically focussed broadcastings!

2:21 it’s too bad that in a way it’s Anthony who’s to blame for putting John in this state. If it wasn’t for his egotistical bullying of John maybe he would’ve kept the drug use a purely recreational thing, like how Kiedis was for the most part able to keep it together be a part of the band.

Sect paradox of life- As he may appear as a corpse... As there are many that appear "healthy".... Yet when their mind is an embodiment of which his John's body may project... That is what is truly disgusting... This is reality, I find this beautiful; his body is merely a metaphorical transportation fleshanism of his true energy and spirit... And as he may appear so destroyed he remains composed of such and projects, raw refined, wretched beauties.
