John Gotti, nicknamed 'The Teflon Don', was an American gangster and boss of the Gambino crime family in New York City. During his peak he was one of the most powerful and dangerous crime bosses in the U.S. The FBI agents in charge of investigating the Gambino family, focus in on Gotti after the murder of his boss and the head of the family - Paul Castellano. The FBI agents spend years surveilling and wire tapping Gotti to obtain evidence to convict him.
The FBI Files is an American television docudrama series. Each episode describes actual FBI cases which include murder, narcotics, bank robberies, and kidnapping as well as other crimes. These are portrayed through dramatic reenactments and interviews with agents and forensic scientists who worked on the investigations.

This documentary has been recycled and re packed for marketing maybe 20 times Maybe some up to date stuff on outlaw motorcycle clubs or 1% ers They are the largest international mob on wheels, And they work close with Italian organized crime, in several countries including the u.s. and canada, they are very interesting characters and they are currently active and very much relevant. This thing has been over aired to death!!!

What gets me is WHY didn't Gotti have a few of his guys watching the entire building overnight all the time? They could have taken shifts. The FBI would have never been able to bug the place with that in place. They also could have installed surveillance tech also. It shows they weren't thinking clearly.

Exactly. That’s their prime meeting spot and they were such fools the Feds were able to easily install wire taps. They could’ve had a camera or two installed inside. Such schmucks.

If 2 guys were assigned to watch the apartment 24/7 or even if they put 6 guys on it for 4 hours per day each, they still would have eventually screwed up. They would have had a false sense of security after months of nothing out of the ordinary happening. The FBI would have had their team at the ready 24/7 as well. As soon as 1 guy dozed off or took a break they would have been in and out with the bugs planted. Let’s face it, just a matter of time before the guards would have started cutting corners and screwed up.

They could. But why would they wanted to wrap things up early? The logical choice for them, as in many cases, is to leave a gap open so the destruction could be big enough to convince the public of the threats and therefore securing their funding.

Basically, Quack Quack was the man who totaly took down the mafia on his own lol. Blame it on Gotti, Sammy the Bull or anyone else...if Angelo had not talked so much, there had probably not been a hit on Castellano and no Gotti etc.

You’re absolutely correct. Quack Quack caused a lot of trouble no doubt. I had heard that the reason DB was killed was because Quack owed him a lot of money and made up the fact that DB was talking subversive. If he didn’t talk so much then the Feds would not have been able to put a bug in his house and they would not have gotten the information to be able to bug Big Paul’s house.

If you ever needed evidence Gotti was a bad boss (aside from the magazine covers), listen to those tapes. The only voice you will hear is John's. In that life, you have to act as if you are always being recorded, and the astute operators always knew that once something was done, it is as if it never happened. To be rambling on and on so explicitly about PAST murders, is such a stupid and useless thing to do. It served no purpose other than to feed John's ego.

Is this Robert Stack? I swear I've watched so many of these true crime shows. If you haven't seen on YT yet theres a good true crime channel called "That Chapter". They have over 300 videos thus far. Good stuff.
