so many people not watching or modeling John and instead looking down and making notes .....WTF .......i guess i am a little surprised.......not what i would choose at a JG seminar!
I had the same thought. There isn't even anything on their website you could buy if you wanted to about this. So I don't really see the point of them posting this incomplete lecture. The only thing I can think of is to do what he said at the end which is to look for alternative methods of achieving the same thing that alcohol does currently. I wish they had offered some more suggestions of what those things might be. But I guess we must ultimately find them for ourselves
Profound strategies! The shocking of "unconsciousness" is a brilliant way to gain rapport with another person. The unconsciousness mind needs to be acknowledged so the resistance level is lessened, can until then can alternative strategies be discovered to replace the problematic behaviour. I agree. You can't stop a behaviour. You can replace one with another behaviour that is potentially more beneficial to the well-being of the individual.
good information an precise modeling procesing and understanding the unconsconsciens processeseess for adiction and how to create good rapport for change and the positive intention
As recovering alcoholic (and I mean 7 bottles of Vodka per session type of alcoholic) and being an astute student of NLP, the process outlined by John is going to be mildly unsuccessful. True alcoholics deal with physiological issues that cannot be solved just by a paradigm shift in the alcoholic. If that were the case, I would have been sober years ago. John comes from a good place but unless you've been a true alcoholic, you're never going to truly relate.
You would do well to research the amazing results with many intractable problems achieved with NLP before you make such a blanket statement. Who are you to judge? What are your credentials?
