Imagine putting this beautiful song on for someone and then showing them the movie it's from.

On the surface a composition/ballad like this might seem out of place in a gory zombie movie, but it matches the movie's melancholia perfectly.We never find out just how screwed the human race is, but it's very very bad. Day is my favorite of Romero's original trilogy,having rewatched the 3 recently.

Fantastic track to THE greatest zombie movie ever....gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it and this version from DJ Lee is perfectly executed!!! RIP Ralph, Richard, Joe, George and Gary....the list is sadly growing. 😔🙏

It’s easy to pretend this world could never end.

like how the music is consistent with the rest of the movie's background music and isn't just some unfitting random song shuffled in at the end, because the composer worked on both.;

Sounds exactly like the extended instrumental used during the ending and credits, nice.

When the steel drums out out at @0:30 it's like the sun coming out after a long rain.

I always thought this song was absolutely perfect for the downbeat ending of the film and the original trilogy. It was not until I heard it on here though, that I realised that it was a duet, as only the female vocal was used in the film credits, (On the copy I had anyway). That, and the extended intro, only serves to make it more beautiful.
