It gives me goosebumps to watch the man who had the courage to play John Merrick... You have to be a real man and a real actor to play a character like that one... One of the world's most prolific and brilliant actors. No one plays like John Hurt. Only John's genius of acting metamorphosis was able to portray The Elephant Man and touch our souls beneath pounds of latex and makeup.Something of a tour de force. Wellknown as the only actor who has never given a bad performance. That is to say:A exceptionally gifted actor. Not forgetting that John proved to have a very noble nature.

wow this is a powerful statement makes ya think about the world around us. makes ya think about the goverment and about the people around us. Human rights is key. Human rights is who we are. we are humans and we deserve to be protected and safe. Not be scared of abuse and crime and not to be scared because the world around us is not treating us fairly. The world needs more voices like John Hurt,Jeremy Irons, Patrick stewart . The world trully is a sad place. These people have a major hold over the hearts of people and know they belive in there cause. A noble cause. But statistics show that capital punishment doesn't deter crime. When the state kills a murderer, they have committed the same crime as the murderer. Doing it by way of committee, pen, paper, and needle changes nothing. Calling it "justice" doesn't change the fact that it's vengeance. Punishment is barbarism. I prefer enlightenment - even for those who have wronged me.

My all time favorite actor! Now John, when we speak of human rights... have you the courage to face the fact that the OIC said that they can not abide by the Universal Declaration of Human rights because it would go against Islamic law? Have you seen their Cairo Declaration? They intend for it to apply to you and everyone else so look into it. If we really want to defend human rights, we can't be so politically correct in how we address the worst perpetrators of crimes against them.
