Yeah but u have one problem as a black man in this country black folks are locked up more then any other race and a lot them unjustly especially if they get a all white jury no matter how much the evidence shows they are innocent then on top of that u have racist cops DE and judges that make sure black folks don't get a fair trial.and I know u see al the black men that have been wrongfully convicted 4 crimes they have not committed and been freed after 20 + years cause of racist cops and DE and judges.

It's rare you get an opportunity to see Senator Kennedy not play dumb but actually expose how well versed he actually is in the law and Constitution. He is one of a kind.

Now, if we required our high schoolers to watch committees like this for government class and report back for homework, I think they'd have a damned idea in their head how the law works. Wouldn't matter if it was a left leaning or right leaning judge. They follow the same framework. I'm glad we still have the system we do even if sometimes I'm left scratching my head.

Senator Kennedy is the best Senator. Not only because he has funny accolades but because they are so on spot and what people think. He is polite and he is tough. He doesn’t want to hurt people unnecessarily. I love this man.

Senator Kennedy is one of the smartest Senators in Congress. I always try to listen to his questioning when he is on a committee. Thank you so much for posting this and I commend the people of the beautiful state of Louisianna for voting him into office. Thanks again.
Joseph Huff if you bothered to take a few seconds to maybe just Google search... Senator Kennedy graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt, graduated order of the coif from one of the best law schools in the United States, and then got a BCL with first class honors from Oxford University, one of the best universities in the world. He's a former law professor and highly regarded legal scholar in civil law, and has published many legal text books and law review articles. His resume is better than our current president AND all of the people seeking the nomination. Without looking at all of the other senators, I think it'd be quit the challenge to find many that can challenge the educational resume of Sen. Kennedy.
If the constitution clearly sets a standard whether in opposition or agreement with the discussion, it is to be followed. The constitution trumps any state constitution.

John Kennedy (R-LA) was being interviewed on Fox and was asked how would he characterise Nancy. He started by saying, “Well, I really shouldn’t say this, but ... billy goat brained and mockingjay mouth.”
Sen Kennedy is a blessing to have. Don’t even think about trying to get 1 past him. He’ll give it back and you won’t see it coming. Of course he does it in his nice southern way. Love him.
When it comes to 2A. The meaning is very clear, particularly if you've read the federalist papers. It means we, as individuals, have the right to protect ourselves from exterior and interior threats, to include a tyrannical government. There is no ambiguity and it's ridiculous for any judge to go through all that crap that was stated.
It is quite clear, and that is what they don't like. So they blow smoke and divert attention. They conflate citizens and crooks having firearms as all crooks. We know that is pure crap,and armed law abiding citizens stop crime and save lives, but they tell people that less guns means more safety for them. Total lie, but their goal is not our safety, but rather greater control. Or their safety to continue ignoring the rule of law. Their casual impunity while breaking the law. That comes only after we are disarmed. Corruption and greed has become so prevalent that some in society are choosing to join the other team rather than insist we hold all the teams to the same rule of law that we are. I cannot and will not live in a society like that, and if that means enforcing the law on the untouchables by main force count me ready. They don't fear the law or the enforcement of it, so it is time they did.
It bothers me that someone as brilliant as Sen. Kennedy is not the Republican Senate leader than mealy mouth McConnell who is nowhere during these hard times.

If I personally met mr kennedy , what I would ask him is about Inalienable rights... I would ask him his opinion on people who hold to the position. That inalienable rights or just the purpose of any right for that matter are purely arbitrary to the society that Institutes them. ... I think he would consider that a pretty interesting conversation.
If the concept of good manners and conducting yourself as a gentleman is lost on those who watch this get yourself to some school that will teach you how to behave like an adult respectable human being .It is good to see someone speak politely and at some point the strong must prevent rudeness and bullying aimed at those with less power or strength. Truth and honesty is not the same as rudeness and bullying and it does not take genius to see and know the difference.
