John just reminds me of the nicest grandfather you could be lucky to have.

Awesome video Adam! Squirrels are not welcome in our backyard given how they've dug up seedlings and destroyed many attempts at nurturing them. I remember our first visit out there to pickup our Grimal, and we bought a Jamaican Cherry you had propagated, and let me tell you, this year the thing is going nuts! Literally pounds of little fruits with amazing flavor. Got to be one of my favorites as far as unique taste and sweetness. Finally got the Grimal, Restinga, and whatever the third one was in the ground. They were in fairly large containers for the past couple of years, but hadn't really grown much at all. Hoping that now planted, they will have better opportunity to thrive and eventually fruit, as they're getting close to 4-5 years by now. Also, will likely have to send you some pictures as well so you can help identify which is which, as my markers faded in the sun, so I'm at a loss. :P Let me know if you want some of the fruit, and if you'd be interested in coming over next time you're in Altamonte and seeing about trimming up the Jamaican and getting some grafts or air-roots done, as the tree is an excellent producer of terrific fruit, and now very overgrown. Would love to add some other trees to our modest garden -- the Superior Mangosteen sounds wonderful ... Really looking for fruits that are good with cancer-fighting potential, as I've been dealing with CLL and would really like to have some natural healing in the form of delicious and nutritious fruits. We were interested in having a cashew tree, however, the toxic Urushiol oil was a concern, and I wouldn't want to make an accidental blunder that could be damaging and possibly fatal. So, please DM me directly when you can! Would love to get a good net for the Jamaican and eventually for the Jabo's, but they look to have a long time of more growing to do.
