My dad saw your father perform in "DuBarry Was A Lady" while on leave in New York City. I think he was stationed in Norfolk, though he was in The U.S. Army Aircorp. It made a long lasting impression on him. Over the years he would mention seeing that and fondly remember the experience. It always made him laugh. He survived being a navigator in England and later flew missions out of El Paso to Alamogordo, NM. Here he was in the midst of the worst war in history and he found an opportunity to laugh. We should never underestimate the long term effect of the arts on people. Your father's contribution was amazing.
