Hooker tune, This Land is Nobody's Land Sorry for the duration. WMM lengthens some of my audio files for reasons which I cannot discover. (If you have any suggestions, let me know!) Also, random Jay Dee pic. :D
I remember seeing JLH live. What a privilege. It was at Crystal Palace Park during a blues festival. JLH came on stage, paused, and then mumbled some incoherent line of whatever. No-one in the crowd understood a damn word he said. But we all gave him a standing ovation before he even played a single note! It was priceless. And I'll never forget it. Total love and respect for John Lee Hooker.
I do agree with you so much, and you know 'cause the blues are with you till the day is done, I always thought when I was so young it was just something I had 'cause I was so little, but the blues are still with me at 60 now, there not going any where but staying in me forever, yep color has nothing to do with it !!!!!
I know this is Blues raw and straight up... totally timeless and awesome. It has a taste like a good Rye or fine Tennessee whiskey. Smooth, flavorful and delivers one hell of a kick. Cheers, drink deep and long!
Don't you just feel that expression run through your blood? To play the Blues is a real expression of deep feelings, I love Jazz too.Ta for your comment....
A fine tribute to a wonderful blues singer,I was drawn to African American music thru the history of our music,The Scots were white Christian, plantation and slave owners in the Carolina's (US) who attended church, the servants would hear the songs and harmony and copy or adapt that which they likened to,The white (Scots) endentured slaves from Europe also worked the land and brought their music with them creating a rich history of America and suffering that we can all feel .peace and love
all land is bought with blood, but it isn't really bought, only rented until the next people take it and pay for it with their blood. Land doesn't belong to people, people belong to the land
Yes, blues heals by reaching down to your level when feeling low, resonating with you, moving you with a rhythm that slowly, gently steadily raises you back up

As I went walking I saw a sign there and on the sign it said 'No Trespassing.' But on the other side it didn't say nothing, that side was made for you and me. Para un encuentro que por más soñado, jamás llegó. Pues la vida es pasar. Poco importa el laurel.
I just used Google Translate and this is what I got- "The best singer Blues in the world with Bybee King. Was born in Mississippi, died in California, learning to read and write at home and not in school, he allowed him only in his childhood listening to the songs of religion. Having died and his mother's father, married his mother, singer Blues namedWilliam Moore, and launched Hecda Hooker tale with a guitar thanks to his mother's second husband musician" ..........Okay.
TheBlues you are born with whatever color you are and for people like L J Hooker and many other great artists,to the every day person born with the blues in them, sing the truth, yea.
Hi Roger, sure. Being way out here on the world-wide web, we probably live in different markets anyways, lol. Not that I'm making t-shirts, tho I often had a mind to. So thank you for inspiring me to take that intention further
