I was devastated, worst of all, shot on my mom's birthday on December 8th. My Mom adored the Beatles. She got their very first album for me, when it came out.
@@A.Briggs628 No, Italian forensic analysts examined McCartney's photos pre and post 1966, and found they were 2 different men. Even Paul's brother, Mike, when asked on Tv, "When did you last see your brother?" Answered, "At his funeral." Everyone but Mike laughed. George and Olivia Harrison are on video greeting Faul as William or Billy. Faul himself has given many admissions.
On Milk and Honey, his last album, the last track is about 22 minutes of his last interview, which took place on December 08th, 1980, the day he died. In it, in the last few minutes or so, he mentions death, and about dying, and hoping it wouldn't happen for a long time, not knowing in a few short hours he'd be gone. I cannot imagine Yoko's grief, as she was there to hear that, then to see him die. I cannot imagine the interviewers thoughts after hearing the devastating news...
You can't?? let me help you it was something like this " holy fucking shit, Lennons dead I just interviewd him" " ahhhhh my husband just got shot to death by a stranger" something along those lines. Dipstick.
Yoko didn’t give a bat sh!t about John, she only got to him because she stalked him religiously, manipulated him, used him and spent all his money. God I can’t stand her.
I remember hearing the news while on a plane, from London to Paris. It was one of those deaths where the world just stops. Lot's of tears that day. Rest in peace John...
@@corinnejenart4512 he was not an angel had his faults and demons but like the other three Beatles he was a decent guy... If you examine the Beatles extensive catalog it's almost all very positive which McCartney was quite proud of... And they had the power to be very destructive had they wanted to be.. yeah they were that famous and influencial
John recorded in his last song; "Dear John", "don't be hard on yourself, give yourself a break, life wasn't meant to be run, the race is over, you've won !" Search for it and listen to it.
When I,'m hearing about this, it was 7.00o'clock, in the morning. And my mother had called to my bedroom:" John lennon wurde erschossen.". This time I have not forgotten. Liebe Grüße Ellen ❤ ✌
I remember Dec 8, 1980 as if it were yesterday. I was watching sports on tv when they went to breaking news to report John was gone. I cried a lot. I was crushed. More like devastated.
Also, two of his movies predicted his death. In "A hard day's night" his manager jokingly says that he'll "murder Lennon" and in "Help" he's almost shot by the mad scientist
If you listen to John's comments in interviews way back in their early career, as well as lyrics, hecwas always talking about death. He told a reporter he'd rather be shot in answer to his question. The notion he would die young in a plane crash ( like the one that killed Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, Richie Valens), or by some looney!! The lyrics to songs are also mentioning death. It may be a coincidence or premonition, Tomorrow Never Knows,Across the Universe disguise death as a sort of mystical trip. The Paul is dead clues could actually be about John. I am the "Walrus" means a corpse in Greek language. The Ballad of John/Yoko..." they're gonna crucify me". Happiness is a warm gun??? I nearly died was a lyric phrase from No Reply. This list likely has more references than I can recall, but you get the drift!
When John Lennon came to Greece with Yoko in 1969 they visited a psychic which told Lennon " Be careful my boy you will die on an island" then yoko and John cancelled their visits to greek islands cause they were afraid. On 1999 on a greek interview Yoko as she was talking about that incident she realised that Manhattan were Lennon was shot it's in fact an island !
_Revolution #9_ clearly shows Lennon's prediction and fascination with guns and death. You can hear him moaning as the bullets are hitting him. The only time I'll listen to _Revolution #9_ is if I'm playing the entire white album. Thankfully, the album concludes with the soothing lullaby _Goodnight._ 🕯
George Harrison died in 2001 at age 58. He smoked more often than the other three Beatles. The frequency George Harrison smoked during his adulthood was enough to where it would lead to dying from lung cancer.
All we use to say things like that about ourselves but not thinking about it as a serious statement, He also said that he wanted to live many more years with his wife, the same day he died he said in an interview for a radio station that he saw his work with the Beatles and after Beatles like a solo artist or with his wife as one piece and it was going to be like that untill he die and be buried and he hopes that would happen after a long long time. But it was his last day ( hours when he said that)
I was 10 when he died. I became a huge fan of the Beatles a few years ago and I do love John Lennon. When I watch footage of what happened at the time of his death, it does bring tears to my eyes.
After he made the comment about the Beatles being bigger than Jesus people were literally gunning for him... I think that paranoia never left him... Only because he spoke freely in an interview and It touched a nerve with a lot of people
It’s sad to die a death that wasn’t natural. So many times people die due to things like illness that can’t be helped. For a nut to end his life was very sad.
Chapman said one of the reasons he ended John Lennons life was because of the Beatles are bigger than Jesus comment. So in a really bizarre twist of fate that comment came back to haunt him years down the line and even though he got gunned down and not crucified it had the exact same impact as the crucifixion because it turned John into a martyr and turned him into a Legend . I am not sure if the security guard who found Johns last autograph on the floor has sold it at auction. But that album with his signature on it is classed as the most valuable and sought after item in all of modern music. Essentially the holy grail
From his unique position within the band, and his keen insight, “finger on the pulse”, of some of the wackos who are attracted to famous people, he did the math…
John Lennon was a special kind of person indeed, not "supernatural" or any angel at all, but simply special. His talent was undeniable & his voice almost ethereal & truly beautiful. He was also a very physically attractive man. I loved & love him for his gifted musical talent & strong presence, which is still alive here today. RIP JL ❣️
Jesus didn't want to be a lord over anyone else. That's worldly power/hierarchy thinking that he didn't have. He didn't want to dominate or control anyone as lords do. He taught and exemplified principles of love, humility, and service. His leadership was characterized by self-sacrifice and servanthood. Jesus never demanded for anyone to worship him. Second, Lennon was right. The Beatles were more popular than Jesus at the time among young people. It's just a correct observation.
@@nighTmareCSGO well for starters the song begins with Lennon saying “shoot me” and then the chorus is “come together right now over me” which is like saying If I died it will be a big deal and the rest of the song the verse parts are in my opinion about some crazy sick person (his killer)
i believe that words have some weird power. if you keep telling such things throughout the years, it may come true. His death was definitively a huge loss for the world of music
“Christ… the way things are going, they gonna crucify me” “Shoot me…. Shoot me…. Shoot me… shoot me.” “Happiness is a warm gun, mama. Happiness is a warm gun…”
this is possibly die to the memories of filming his death scene in 1967's "How I Won the War " where he is shot and killed in action . Also its a common nightmare...and NYC in the 1970s was particularly dangerous and full of old guns.
Dann singt er " Two Spirits Dancing so strange!" Das sind Yoko und Sean, die Mann und Vater verloren haben. Dieses Lied beschreibt genau die Situation, als John und Yoko aus dem Studio nach Hause kamen. Man muß nur die Worte deuten können.
Please stop posting things like this! His was murdered, it’s not some cosmic prediction! I was a witness to his murder. I’m sick of people sensationalizing the unfortunate events that have happened to these people! They gave us fantastic music! Let’s celebrate it, analyze their style, work ethic, inventiveness, musicianship humor etc! Stop talking about this man’s death! Fucking pisses me off!
I’m so sorry this was your experience. What a heartbreak! I was 5 when he was taken. The radio was a constant in my home in those days. More so than TV. And when I heard the song Imagine I loved it. And I remember hearing it much through my formative years. And the odd part is I always knew the guy that made that song died. I truly absorb this from my environment because no one talked about it with me. And it always made me sad because I loved that song. It was only this year that I leaned the release of Imagine and the timing of his death (in the US) -- bring it to my 40 years of age and I too experience a close murder and it is indescribable stages of processing. God Bless🩵
