@@PeterByker I don't think so. I've never heard any song from them that dispelled the distaste that I have for them. I'm sure they care, they're successful - lots of people do like them. I think it's just a matter of taste.

Funny enough I thought pretty much the same thing while watching this (and quite a few interviews from maybe the last 10-15 years) that man, who the mere mention of his name would cause journalists to break out in a nervous sweat, has since become a public figure who I would be more than happy for my child to look up to. He displays passion, drive, a fierce intelligence and a genuine morale compass that this world could certainly do with a lot more who shared that. Though Johnny Honourable just don’t sound quite as punk eh?

@@Sarah-gf9ed I met him recently and spent some time in his company. Signed my Tattoo and stood in for a few photos. Couldn't have been a nicer generous funny witty original person. A legend I was so honoured to get the chance of full filling a lifelong dream to meet him. He's exactly what you see and get. Doesn't suffer crawlers very easily and can see through the bullshit. He's an icon. Heres something that I always say. You have hardcore fans of The Clash who slate John for the butter ad but they conveniently forget that The Clash signed off 'should I stay or should I go' to be licensed in use for levis jeans in a tv ad. Now taking this into consideration its a bit hypocrital of people who slate John but love the Clash. The Clash railed against capitalism even going so far to take a hit on profits from the sandinista Album selling it at a very reduced price for their fans, a triple Album for the price of one yet they sold the rights to use one of their own songs to promote a commodity from one of the worlds most capitalistic companies and yet people slate John for the butter ad. At least John had the balls to appear in the ad sending himself up. Clash sell jeans = okay by everyone John lydon sells Butter = the same people getting their knickers in a twist

@@kingjellybeans7823 I met him last year. Ultimate Dream come true for me! I wanted to say a lot more to him but was too starstruck! LOL! I asked him to sign a pics of himself when he was young and ended up telling him what a handsome young man he was! But he was lovely a true gentleman. I hope I can meet him again one day. He also mentioned that one of the photos was taken in Huddersfield the kids party and I said Oh yes I saw it DVD ARRRRGHH! I should have said what a lovely thing to do! I was cringing after! But I couldn't help it! Ah well hope I can meet him again one day. I saw him in Bristol back in June. Fantastic gig! You are right about the Clash fans. I
