It’s pretty crazy. Literally every single preacher is a false teacher, according to every other preacher. Every single denomination makes compelling cases for why the other denominations are fake teachers. It’s literally 🤯 for me, as a sincere believer who wants to go and do the right thing with the right doctrine. Everyone thinks they’re right and tells you everyone else is wrong. What in the world are we supposed to do
That's not really true, those who teach salvation by grace thru faith in Christ alone, that is the truth. Look to Evangelical / Fundamental churches and follow the Spirit's leading.
@@coreylatham9236 every organization and institution on earth is to be held accountable. Happens in music, church, politics, education, media, literally everywhere.
I keep going back to.. all modern churches tend to follow men's theology instead of God's. They put more stock in an academic's opinion than the Bible. The simple fact that most protestant churches are meeting on Sunday and never the actual Sabbath speaks volumes. Only 8 got on the boat! You have to ask WWJD and look for yourself! I was raised southern Baptist, but even that denomination has allowed CRT and homosexuality to gain a foot hold. We need to bring back home churches and meet on the Sabbath. That would be a start, because organized religion has failed!
I don’t know when this was made but Mark Driscoll is doing a great job today preaching the word of God particularly the role of Christian men in the family and society. This is a slippery slope bc the classic reformers like Calvin and Luther would not consider a “reformed” Baptist like MacArthur with a dispensational bent to be truly reformed either.
Mark Driscoll had problems like everyone else, including me. However Mark repented and God is using him today. To heal families, talk about the end times. Spoke about Israel war, the sermon was made one year prior the war. He gave it on the Sunday of the war. This man hears from God!
I'm sorry but I do NOT believe he has repented. His spirit is haughty and cocky and he now preaches far right ideology and tries to disguise it as Christianity.
@@voolforyou his spirit? or flesh? he recently said he struggles with arrogance and it’s something he has to work be mindful of. is there anything he has preached to your knowledge that is unbiblical?
I think one of the chief issues people have with Driscoll is precisely due to the fact that he has not repented. If you believe otherwise, please post a link to the video or discussion of that repentance. I'm not necessarily arguing that he needs to -- I was just struck by your assertion that "However Mark repented." That's not a sentiment I had ever seen and I see constant lamentations to the contrary.
Funny how he calls Driscoll out for calling himself reformed while he himself is a Baptist. (Nothing wrong with being a Baptist btw, I'm a Baptist myself, but being "Reformed" is more than just believing in TULIP)
It’s funny how he calls mark out yet John McArthur teaches that the gifts of the spirit are not for by today! John u look best with your mouth closed! 🙏🏽
I feel really uneasy about how much pastors have been calling each other out since the Internet has given such a massive platform to them. You gotta be so careful what you say about others. Especially if the people that you are “calling out” have other flocks and are actively leading them to Christ. My suggestion is to do what God‘s word says, and go to them in private and address your concern before you slander them publicly.
Exactly, and repent wholeheartedly for saying if anyone takes the mark of the beast they can repent and still go to heaven when the bible states the opposite, John mcarthur said this and it contrary to God's word but he has never repented?
Driscoll is not low hanging fruit. He is doing a fantastic job sharing God's word. Highly recommend listening to a few on his teachings. He is doing outstanding work.
@@person6768 I think what is trying to be implied in that statement is that nothing accidental ever happens in a person's life. Everything that happens was meant to happen. It's a mockery of Calvinism in suggesting that it's wrong to believe that every aspect of our lives is ordained and planned by God, including falling down the stairs.
Despite the labels, and debates, what does the Bible say over and over again? That “Jesus was delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God,” that “no one can come to Jesus unless it is granted to him by the Father,” and “that certain people were designated for condemnation.” Isa 46:8 “Remember this and stand firm, recall it to mind, you transgressors, Isa 46:9 remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, Isa 46:10 declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’ Isa 46:11 calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it.
As Chuck Smith says, Calvinism is Christianity without Christ, which is what is shown in every clip of John MacArthur. How ironic that the name of his church is “Grace” Community Church
If Chuck Smith said that he is a false preacher. He also set a date for the rapture, and encouraged a woman to get an abortion on live radio - nobody should listen to chuck smith
Too many "theologians" and not enough Shepherds. Why doesn't John reach out to these other pastors and help them if he believes they are off track? Instead he is tearing down others and likely causing confusion among people who felt blessed and helped by some of the other teachers or pastors.
I love how this spiritual lukewarm pastor calls out everybody else for believing in the gifts and manifestations of the Holy Spirit specially when he himself hasn’t experienced them is like a person criticizing or talking bad about a city when he has never been there !!!!!
He is a teacher and he has experienced the gifts of the Holy Spirit because otherwise how can he exposite the word of God in such a way? He said he does not believe in the manifestations that are prevalent in the churches now like jumping , rolling , languages with no interpretation , which clearly go against the fruit of the spirit, namely self control
I don’t see Pastor Mark Driscoll as being a charismatic Pastor. He speaks the truth and it’s a problem with people because they don’t like hearing the truth.
Mark repented, spoke openly about his sin like in Matthew ch. 7, and NOW calls out fake Christian’s. The people at the conference saw that and wanted him back on stage!!!! There is a revival in this world of Christian’s and mark driscoll sees it and I think is spearheading it for us gentiles. He spoke truth! GOD Bless mark
Mark goes way back before this last publicity stunt! Buying His own books to boost sales, look into the debacle He left us at Mars Hill. Never apologized, you shall be known by your fruit. PS, Mark is a Speaker not a Pastor.
Remember to remove the rod from thine own eye before chastising those for the speck in there’s, for every judgement and finger you cast upon another you have 4 more pointing back at you. We all fall short of righteousness but the lord is the only true righteous judge. So I recommend you hold your tongue and let God sort the wheat from the chaff, don’t fall prey to the same flaws of the Pharisees and sadducees.
Interesting that MacArthur doesn't see a problem with him being a dispensationalist and a Calvinist. But heaven forbid somebody is a charismatic and a Calvinist
Difference between a Calvinist that is a charismatic (which there are plenty), and a Reformed Calvinist that is a charismatic. MacArthur for example is called “reformed” by a lot of people, but he’s definitely not. Dispensationalism being 1 reason..
Im new to this conversation ... I just discovered Mark Driscoll and I absolutely love his teachings at Real Faith. Can anyone suggest a good 3rd party resource for info on what led to Mark leaving Mars Hill? It doesnt sound like the "Rise and Fall of Mars Hill" podcast is unbiased. Thanks for any help
You won't find an unbiased reporting of such a dynamic, massive, and complex organization like Mars Hill. That's not possible. Christianity Today has a post-modern, feminist bias to its organization and favors progressive ideologies. As such, this bias does, in fact, show up in the podcast you mentioned. With that said, I'd still recommend starting there. It's a pretty good deep dive into why the church imploded and the production quality is among the highest I've ever listened to. There are some objective sins that disqualify Driscoll, such as unrepentant plagiarism ... which is both lying and theft. From an administrative perspective, including managing teams, organizations, and businesses, Driscoll was riddled with problems and fault. From a personal style perspective, Driscoll was a mixed bag who blurred lines between righteous anger/bullying, convicting his congregation/yelling at his congregation, boldly stating facts/using profanity and other inappropriate language, and so on. From a theology/doctrine perspective, Driscoll mainly gets it right and continues to get it right. In the end, what made Driscoll so good at Mars Hill (boldly preaching, calling people out, stripping away worldly excuses) is exactly what mad Driscoll so bad at Mars Hill (crossing lines, bullying, arrogance).
I’ve been following Mark/watching his sermons since the Mars Hills days. You’re right, the podcast you mentioned is extremely biased and is the only “evidence” anyone against him seems to give. He is repentant, he’s talked about snippets of it across many sermons since then. And the evidence is in his current ministry and teachings - absolutely solid biblical preaching.
There is nothing anyone needs to know. He went on his own because of disagreements and disharnony. No one needs all the details. His work speaks for itself. God Bless 🙌 🙏 ❤️
I lose respect for anyone that calls out a pastor with nothing to back it up! John MacArthur has sermons out there proclaiming that God only picks some people to be saved as if the others aren't good enough! I'd say that is a false teacher!!! Mark may have made mistakes because he is human but he repented. I've never heard him preach anything that wasn't biblical.
Driscoll is a cult leader, him, Furtick and that class that came up around the same time, they all claimed direct revelation from God and at least with Driscoll he was a self appointed pastor who got kicked out of his own cult. The man is a proven liar and manipulator.
says you but i say you can’t trust a preacher that advocates strange words and erratic behavior and says it is if the Holy Spirit One of the fruit of the spirit is self control
Calvinism is not a single demmantion . It is a form of Church Governance. Meaning the Local Church is run by a Council of elected Elders , Not a centralized Institution or Not by a single Pastor - Calvin Institutes on church Governance. . But you would have to hold to the teachings on Calvin Charismatic is a form of worship not Governance So yes you can be both Mark Driscoll is no Longer a Calvinist Because he Runs his new Church as if he were a Dictator. And no Longer Teaches Saved by Grace Alone.
Hes really only just a little better kenneth copeland and bc hes not as slimy as copleland is he seems "heavy and true", which is just because our society is so far in the trash can that you don't have anyone better to compare w/

@@doctrinalwatchdogactive6454 Paul wrote to HIS churches to remove false teaching amongst those who were HIS sheep. John just sounds bitter at a pastor who has nothing to do with his flock.
@@jahnotdead false, today with internet, radio and TV a false teacher can get into every house and church with the pastor never knowing so they must do things like this so the sheep are aware of threats.
They MUST? I disagree. With the word of God in plain access to everyone, from Genesis to Revelation, this notion of needing your pastor to filter and vilify certain people on a personal level instead of actual false teaching is strange and reeks of arrogance. I'm not even going to get started on the "being charismatic". @@doctrinalwatchdogactive6454
They didn’t throw him out. He ran off before facing discipline from his body of elders. Accountability is only a word after accountable in the dictionary to mark Driscoll, unfortunately. I hope that changes one day.
Well Mark did say that God spoke to him to leave Mars Hill during the investigation because they were setting a 'trap' against them. Listen to 'Raise and Fall of Mars Hill'. Crazy stuff
Coreylatham Driscoll is a narcissistic fraud. He commited fraud using church funds to artificially boost the sale of his book. Pure deception. Then he was found in contempt of all of those church abuses. Just bailed on mars hill leaving his faithful employees holding the back of the church he destroyed. Then plays the victim and starts a new church like nothing happened. On top of that he got a parting year’s separation pay of over 600k. He’s a manipulator and a charlatan. He knows what to say to control peoples emotions particularly women. MacArthur is a multimillionaire who loves his doctrines and traditions of men more then what the Bible actually sais
@@doctrinalwatchdogactive6454 Calvinism has caused more confusion in the body of Christ then it has ever in these last 20 years. Mark Driscoll is the same guy who says free will isn't real and its a demonic deception. Does he speak for majority of Calvinism? no, of course not. Ive met so many different Calvinist who don't all believe the same thing. Yet a lot of Calvinist are always in despair of whether if they are actually ever saved, every time they sin. The biggest thing satan wants to do to the body of Christ is to destroy the foundation of the Gospel which is we are all sinners in need of Savior. Jesus Christ is that Savior who came not to condemn the world but save it through him. Calvinism focuses more on the "elect" and in my opinion self-righteousness , then they do on the Love of Christ. Again, of course not ever Church will say these things to a T. but anyone whos been a Calvinist long enough, knows what i'm talking about. I praise the Lord he open my eyes to the deception of Calvinism and how on the surface it looks nice, but on the inside its ugly.
I agree mark driscoll always call men out and says men are cowards but never calls women cowards for murdering children through a process called abortion
Like your work, John...but you are wrong about this one. Mark Driscoll is not a charismatic.. I highly recommend listening to some of his recent work. He is on the mark. He follows the Bible. He is not apostate. Please focus God's word...not calling out a dedicated pastor. There are a plethora of false pastors ...there are many...Joyce Meyers...Benny Hinn....Kenneth Copeland...TD Jakes. Focus on them...not Mark. This criticism is undeserved. Thank you. God Bless 🙌 🙏 ❤️
John, I'm noticing a pattern with you over the past few years.. first Alistair begg, now Driscoll. The Holy Spirit chooses to use whomever He decides to. Now if you want to have a conversation without the Internet. Confront this way first. Then with the brethren go to him. I have always admired the sermons you gave via the Holy Spirit. Perhaps some introspection wouldn't go amiss pastor
All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God! Peter denied Jesus 3 X. We Christians have got to get better and unite instead of dividing ourselves, least we fall into the Devil’s trap.
Pastor, Shouldn’t you have taken that up with Mark, rather than speaking that publicly? Pastor Mark is confident and speaks truth shamelessly and unapologetic. I don’t think he cares what you or anyone else thinks, but he cares what God thinks and at the end of the day that is what is most important for us all.
So this same guy is against prosperity while charging a big price for a conference???? Got some balls for calling others out while ignoring your own beam.
Mark Driscoll is a Charismatic? Not from what I’ve seen. FYI John, “reformed” is not what we should be aspiring to. We should simply be following the Bible. The same Bible that even you don’t truly believe is the inerrant word of God! Even YOU admit that!
Johnny believes that dreams and visions of Muslims are not from God. Bubba needs to get out of the pulpit. He is teaching a third covenant. The second covenant according to the book of Acts came with many signs and wonders. Cessationism is a false gospel. There are those who hold to a form of Godliness but deny its power.
And then john macarthur prints a bible with his name of the front cover. If any other preacher did that.. john would call them out. Only john macarthur has the truth and everyone else is false.. It's stupid.
Matthew 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
Driscoll is witnessing his own deconstruction and there is nothing he can do about it. Don’t ever underestimate the judgment of God. He gives people over every day. Forever.
Mark will one day be accountable for the things he's done in his church, God sees all and just as Paul said whether Christ is peached from pure or impure motives he rejoiced that the name of Christ is peached. Leave all judgement up to God in the end but we are to judge within the church as Paul did in Corinthians and Mark ran off from his church before he was disciplined. Good can still use him, doesn't mean he won't have to pay the piper when it comes to rewards as we all will one day🤷
@janetdead So you're saying that in the teaching of God's word, in All His Word, That men who were false teachers or obstructing God's justice, were NOT called out by name?? (by Moses, by Paul, by Luke, etc) Never? This will take me some effort but do you want some biblical examples? Also, what does Ephesians 5:11 say? And what does the word "expose", mean to you anyway? And why are you watching this and not reading the Bible in the first place? Sounds hypocritical
Mark is doing righteous work. You have some work to do, John. You are completely wrong about Mark. Casting stones at others doing their best work is wrong. You are off the path on this one. May you find truth.
So he calls out mark infront others because he said mark did that? 'Mark said it was an observation and not calling anyone out. Why was this act allowed? Thats what happens when pastors worship money as an idol John

John McArthur must be the most perfect man who ever lived, he has never sinned, never made a mistake and is the judge of every other human alive.
