Why is everyone acting like his work was in vain. He sinned. Let's look at ourselves. What do we do when we are by ourselves. Not when we are dressed up on Sunday. But when you are by yourself and no one is around. That is who we really are. Everyone is speaking on a situation where all the facts have not been given. This is very dangerous. Because he sinned does not make his ministry works dead. Before he started his ministry, he was a sinner. After he started, he was a sinner, and today, he is a sinner just as we are. Who are we to start to examine another mans sin. Lets examine ourselves. I'm sure we all have plenty to look at. We are all saved by grace, and let us not forget that our righteousness is as filthy rags. There is not one that is good. Only Jesus Christ. Only Grace.
Well said. As soon as I heard this, I was like "welp. I can’t judge. I’ve sinned greatly too". I think some Christians think that if we show even the slightest amount of grace to others in their struggle with sin, that it means we’re condoning the sin that was committed. That’s not at all the case. It’s possible to be disappointed with the sin but still show compassion to a fellow human being who still sins even after coming to Christ.
I've prayed for myself many times that in spite of my imperfections and sin that God doesn't wipe out the good works that He's accomplished through me in my life.
Sinners: Past tense. Jesus said to "Go, and sin no more." There hath no temptation given you but such as is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able, but will, with the temptation, provide a way to escape." There is always an escape route for temptation. Those who are filled with the Spirit will have the self-control to resist the temptation. This walk is a 24/7, moment by moment surrender to Christ. Crucify the flesh, walk in the Spirit.
Stop saying we all sin… yes we do that’s why these men are held to a higher standard… you have NO IDEA how this stuff really messes up struggling Christians!!!
The LORD JESUS CHRIST in his awesome Mercy will continue to expose ALL! And that goes for ME TO! He wouldn't allow no one to hide behind his name that goes for sister, brother, mother, father pastor, evangelist, etc not by my power nor by my might but by my SPIRIT saith The LORD. I am a man that is without EXCUSE. Thank you LORD JESUS CHRIST and AMEN.
Lord I pray for my brother Lawson and his family ,I ask for your restoration power in his life and the frailty of man that we are Lord you are gracious. I ask for lives to be restored even at this moment for even Paul said in your word to watch lest we fall. Help us not to point fingers but lift our hands high to you as we lift those that have missed the mark less we fall short ourselves .Amen!
1 Timothy 5:24 TPT The sins of some people stand out and are well known. Yet there are others whose sins are not as obvious, but the truth of who they really are will eventually be seen and will bring them judgment.
@@rrickarr You can take it that way. I understand your point. But, it's not always the same as being asked to leave. It can be a mutual agreement and is more akin to resignation. We don't have the detail, but there is no info stating he was dismissed against his wishes.
@@rauldelarosa2768 That is talk of the town and unverified. No actual witnesses or persons invloved have come forth. Nor are there two or three witnesses that we know of, which required to confirm the accusation. You are spreading rumors like a silly goose.
@@trappedcat3615 wrong again..even calvinist and reformed preachers have confirmed that. Many calvinist channels are as well. Simply because you're unwilling to accept the fact that your boy fell and got busted and exposed in unrepentant sin doesn't mean it didn't happen.
I don't agree with everything he teaches, but my heart breaks for him. We ALL have sinned and fallen short, especially myself. God will pick him back up and will use him in whatever way He chooses.
No judgement here. We are men, most of us struggle in this department. I don't care who the man is. I often wonder if perhaps that was Apostle Paul's thorn in in his side? Who knows.
James 3:1 There is a difference between Lawson and most other men, i.e., God holds him to a higher standard because he is a pastor leading a flock. Paul's thorn was apparently physical, from what I have studied.
We have to pray for pastors and fellow Christians to walk in the spirit of Christ, and not in the spirit of condemning non-believers or God may let us fall so we can see our own incompleteness in walking in the spirit. we also have to repent and not tinker with sin at its borders of our life, or abide with questionable, company that may contaminate our spiritual journey
porque siete veces cae el justo y vuelve a levantarse, pero los malvados caerán en el mal. AHORA A LEVANTARSE PASTOR! SACUDIRSE Y SEGUIR NO ES DIOS, NI PERFECTO TOTALMENTE HASTA QUE VENGA CRISTO! A SEGUIR Y VER A CRISTO SOBRETODO! RESISTA LAS CONSECUENCIAS Y PROSIGA. NUESTRO DIOS ASI COMO USTED LO HA DE CONOCER ES GRANDE EN MISERICORDIA!
SAVING ANOTHER CONGREGATION FROM THE BLASPHEMY OF CALVINIST PREACHING! Soli Deo gloria! Hopefully Lawson will repent of his sin and become a Christian!
Anyone calling themselves "Pastor" is exposing their own phoniness and hunger for authority, not a true calling to serve. Jesus Himself warned against chasing after titles like "Rabbi" or "Father," yet some ignore His clear instruction to reject such labels in favor of humble servanthood (Matthew 23:8-10). These so-called "pastors" use a title to elevate themselves above others, seeking recognition and control instead of leading by example in Christ-like humility. If their leadership depended on the fruits of the Spirit and genuine service to the body of Christ, they wouldn't need a title to prove it. They're parading a false sense of authority, and it's an insult to the true worship of God in spirit and truth.
@1Whipperin you sound bitter my friend. While some do tend to lean into "titles", the titles themselves are not necessarily wrong.......or the Pastoral letters would not have been written
Every single one of us are still in our flesh. Every single one of us sin even being born again. Im not condoning what he did, its not right at all and messed up especially being an elder in his position but ppl also need to stop putting these men on such a pedestal. David failed, samson failed, Solomon failed, simon failed, paul failed, all have failed in some way or another. We all are nothing except for Christ. All the more we most decrease and HE must increase. Only he is perfect. The rest of us until death comes or he lifts us up are stuck in this wretched body. If we confess our sins HE is faithful. Even we we faceplant so freaking hard it nearly destroys us.
Look at King David fell into sin often..God had him write a book of repentance songs.. the book of Psalms..and yet God says he was man after God's own heart...just like God told Cain..you do good you do well..but remember sin is waiting on you at the door..God knows we are going to sin..but are you going to acknowledge God first?..Like King David did...I sure do..and God is faithful and just to forgive me❤
The Jezebel spirit is strong and powerful perhaps beyond any one demonic being in this day. She is wrecking havoc among The leadership of God's people. This is what happens when decades ago men of God failed to preach strongly against feminism which was the camel's nose under the tent, now enabling the very clear manifestation of this wicked Jezebel spirit that is absolutely decimating those that are not vigilant. Read Revelation chapter 2
It’s so comical when I see people sympathize over his sin just because he’s a “pastor”, but you would brutally condemn LGBT or unbelievers, even himself! He is WORSE than any unbelievers and oh, apparently he’s not the elect I guess…

I agree that Jesus came to save sinners. However, Paul's Pastoral letters to Timothy and Titus make it clear the high ethical and moral standard God requires of pastors. I am a pastor myself, so I'm not judging the way the world judges. Take heed lest ye fall. We should pray for Lawson, as well as other church leaders because the devil loves for this to happen for obvious reasons. God bless

As sad as this is to see Lawson fall, there was nothing unquestionable about his authority. It's just that he was a person of tremendous impact. Stick around long enough and you'll be in for a few sad surprises when other famous pastors misstep who you put your trust in. It will always happen in our fallen world.
Yes, in His wonderful wisdom He allowed it to let it pass. For His eternal purposes. Which we don't have complete knowledge of. Exactly like He did in the case of Peter's denial. Jesus could've asked the Father to prevent it but He prayed for his faith instead.
Nope. Calvinism sucks. Totally depraved theology. Not condemning Lawson but NO ONE knows who, these online pastors are really behind the scenes. Nobody.

It is very sad that Pastors that must lead the Church with example, made these kind of things. Nevertheless, we are in a fallen world and no one is righteous not even one. The problem with Pastors is they’ll be more accountable at the time of judgement. That’s why WE ALL CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS MUST PRAY for ALL our Pastors and even more in these times of tribulation. The Bible tell us that even The Elected can fall, that’s why we must pray for the Church, for Christians to be the light and the salt of the world and to the entire world because that’s what we need to do and praise The Lord and ask him from the bottom of our hearts that He lead us not into temptations often and every day since we wake up until we go to sleep. God gives healing to his wife & his family and hopefully they repent & get things right with their love ones. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

@@1Whipperin not sure how “Pastor” is a title of authority, I see it more as a title of a teacher, that gives us guidance, help and support and teach and explains the word of The Lord base on the Bible. In fact in the old times being a “Pastor” was one of the most despised labors and pastors could Not be seated with nobles, kings, pharaohs etc etc because they were the lowest of the lowest. You can read that in Genesis and Joseph in Egypt and how he needed to eat in different tables than his own family. I also see they are hundreds of titles in our society and those are to distinguish what and who is the person. If you are a “Doctor” you expect healing, “Lawyer” defending or prosecuting, “Judge” judging, “President” leading, etc etc etc. I’m agree about Not calling “father” anyone except your own progenitor or God our Lord Father and Creator. Me personally have the title of my career, that makes me an authority of my own labor and over people that are just assisting or working under me, but, at the same time the CEO is my boss. Titles and names define activities, not necessarily every single one is qualified to do each and that’s why doctors are taken licenses to practice again, lawyer get disbarred, presidents get impeached, people get fired, etc etc. At the end, here in this side of heaven, we ALL are going to have a kind of title, personally I am “Christian” a “Believer” a “Disciple” a “ Student” a “Wife” a “Sinner” and still fallible. So, I maintain my initial comment because there are “Pastors” that lead their sheep and church and family with example, but there are some that don’t and they shouldn’t be “Pastoring” But they are many that we can fallow and learn from and they are helping many to follow Christ. I hope this helps to show that during our lives we ALL have a title, even “losers” earn those unfortunately, and Pastor Steven Lawson sin (as all of us do) but he and he personally, will be more accountable at judgement time and because the Bible also talks about that, and that’s also why, we have to pray for our Pastors, and everyone else, family, Father Mother Siblings, Presidents, Congressmen, Senators, etc etc etc. Looking forward that Jesus comes back sooner than later, and praying 🙏🏻 very deeply this entire world get in their knees, repent, ask God for forgiveness and salvation and change their paths, because we keep seeing more evil around the world and Pastors more than ever need to lead and not to deceive. Stop with the division and make sure you are following and obeying Jesus by loving God with all your heart, mind and strength and your neighbor as yourself. Be a peacemaker, not a troublemaker.
