I love every part of John MacArthur's interview with Ben Shapiro. My most favorite part which makes me cry each time was the last few minutes when John would personally talk to Ben about how he cared for him. I feel his love for the young brilliant lad while Ben would admire with his eyes the old wise preacher.❣️

Totally agree! I encounter Jesus reading the Old Testament , Lev 23 is all about Jesus, I fell In love with Jesus reading the Old Testament . Ben Shapiro must read Eze 36:24-39 we gentiles are given the same gift of salvation , he open our eyes to his Word , give us a new heart, and put his Holy Spirit in us , write his law of love on our heart of flesh to follow him and not worship idols . Many Jews don’t read the Old Testament, so they don’t know the truth , just as some Christians who don’t study the Bible to know the truth. There are to many false teaching out there I’m responsible for my salvation not my pastor or priest.

@seanrathmakedisciples1508 Jesus taught in Matthew 23 that his followers MUST DO what the Pharisees teach. Which is the law. In Matthew 5 Jesus said the law will not pass away until the earth is no more. Acts 6, what was the lie? The lie was they taught a change to the law, which means the truth was they did not teach it. Romans 6.... don't sin. 1 John 3, what is sin? Lawlessness. Why does Jesus say he rejects people who did miracles in his name, because he did not know them, BECAUSE THEY WERE WORKERS OF LAWLESSNESS (Matthew 7). Seems to me your own scriptures suggest you have no idea what they actually say Can you explain how Jesus really meant do not observe the law with these passages? Can you explain the logic behind making people, giving them instructions in righteous living that will bring them into proper relationship with G-d, then when they don't do it, G-d says they don't need to do then? Even after He said in Ezekiel 36 that He would bring a new agreement in which when realized, they would DO those very instructions

There are some Religious Groups/Churches that believe and teach that the Father (God/YHWH) is also the same person as Christ/Messiah (Jesus/Yeshua) and the Holy Spirit... It sounds confusing... "3 = 1 God"... Like a great stage or movie play... 3 Characters played by One Actor... 1. How can the Father (God/YHWH) ask Himself to come down from Heaven to become a Human being called Jesus/Yeshua and be born by a virgin maiden named Mary to Dwell among Mankind?... 2. Can a SENDER (God) be also the SENDEE (Christ/Holy Spirit)"... Can a Student be EQUAL with the Teacher?... Can an Employer be EQUAL with the Employee? 3. How come Prophet John the Baptist witnessed 3 distinct Events simultaneously happening at the same time, while John was Baptizing Jesus/Yeshua, the Holy Spirit came like a white dove to rest upon Jesus, and a voice coming from Heaven said, "This is my Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased"? 4. How can Christ Jesus BEG Himself not to drink the Redemptive TASK (suffering/death on the cross), but not His WILL but Himself be done? 5. It is strange that He (Jesus/Yeshua) Resurrected Himself on the 3rd Day? Many more CONFUSIONS and CONTRADICTIONS in the case of "3 Equals (=) 1 God"... instead of "3 Distinct Persons United as 1 God." (not TRINITY, "3 in 1 God" equal with each other). According to the Bible, God is ORDERLY and not Chaos or Confusion... God also can not and will not LIE or DISGUISE Himself... God never left His Heaven (3rd Heaven according to St. Paul)... God is not Everywhere, but His EYES are everywhere... Christ Jesus can disguise himself (ref. John 7/Acts 9)... but not with God the Father... God will FOREVER stay the same ALPHA and OMEGA. Facts and Truth, Biblically and Logically speaking... Praise be to God in Christ... Amen and Amen.

We, the Christians believe that "the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit" are UNITED as ONE, not equal to each other but in 3 distinct (not separate) PERSONS... (3 in 1 God). The Father is the HEAD and GREATER than His Son and the Holy Spirit but they are all God UNITED as ONE... The Father is the SENDER and not the SENDEE (Son and Holy Spirit)... "No Student is greater than the Teacher."... "No Employee is greater than the Employer." Analogy... for example only... Mr. A. Smith had 2 adult male children... both of them are also called Mr. Smith with distinct given names such as Mr. B. Smith and Mr. C. Smith... they all came from ONE and the same SMITH FAMILY wherein A. is the Head/Father of B. and C. ... the same analogy... Praise be to God in Christ Jesus' name... Amen.

Gentiles terminology , titles, and names also keep a seperation..ie... Christ/ Messiah, Jesus/ Yeshua, Etc. Also emphasis on Passover instead of Pagan Easter and other gentile adapted or blended holidays
@joshuakarr-BibleMan
@joshuakarr-BibleMan Год назад
Jesus is an English pronunciation of the Aramaic pronunciation, as Joshua is the English pronunciation of the Hebrew pronunciation of the same name. Easter is not pagan, no matter how many unstudied peolle attack it. Easter is the Christian celebration of the resurrection of Christ, literally the rising of the Son. Naming it after the sunrise does double justice to the idea. Most Europeans use derivitaves of the word for Passover. English varies from that tendency, but in no way neglects the true meaning of the highest holiday of all. Indeed, separating the resurrection of Christ from the ancient Hebrew Passover by name does more justice to the divine gravity of the change it caused in the course of history.

Eminent historian Ernest Renan studied the life of Christ, and he acknowledged that the Savior was never in His life time known by or called by the name of “Jesus” (THE LIFE OF JESUS, p. 90). The name Jesus has only existed since the 17th century. In the 1611 English Version of the Bible (KJV), the name of Christ is Iesus (pronounced “ee-sus”), and only later was it changed to Jesus (pronounced “gee-sus”). The revealed name is very important to our salvation in Christ. The idea of taking God’s name in vain, which means to bring His Name to uselessness, or changing His name, or taking a vow by His name and not fulfilling that vow, so this is what is meant by “taking His name in vain” (Exodus 20:2). We must acknowledge that the name of salvation cannot be changed, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). You cannot change the revealed name of our Savior, and there is no excuse acceptable to God, even by the tongue, or rather the languages, of mankind. You must take this very seriously, for the warning of God: “‘If you will not hear, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to My name {YAH},’ Says the Lord of hosts, I will send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart” (Malachi 2:2). There is only one name by which to give glory to, Halleluyah, Praise YAH! Knowing God’s revealed name is very important for this is the name of salvation. The Bible tells us the name of salvation, “Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation’” (Isaiah 12:2 NKJV). Therefore, we must “Praise YAH,” as many may be unknowingly doing when they say, “Halleluyah!” “Praise YAH!” These other names produced by man via linguistic evolution are lacking a, “Thus says the LORD!” These man-made names, which are a product of languages, and not the revelation of God, such as Jesus, Iesus, and Iesous, and not to mention “Hey-zeus, are not valid. ~So where did we get the true name of God, the very name “YAH”? Moses asked God for His name, and God replied, “HAYAH Ashar HAYAH,” which means: “I AM Who I AM,” therefore, Moses was told the essential name of God is YAH, I AM, for God said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM {YAH} has sent me to you.’” (Exodus 3:14). People say, “Oh, the Lord has many names.” No, the Lord has only one personal essential name, which always has “YAH.” “And God spoke to Moses and said to him: ‘I, the Lord. I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as EL SHADDAI [God Almighty], but by My name YAHAWAH, I was not known to them’” (Exodus 6:2-3). Therefore, the name YAH is the essential and only true name of God. For this name YAH is the name which is above every name! The apostle Paul originally wrote this about the Savior’s name, “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of YAHSHUA every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that YAHSHUA the Messiah is LORD, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11). Here are the facts: The Savior told them that He was the I AM, as in YAH the LORD (John 8:58), and more facts: 1. Moses was given the name which is above every name [YAH]. (see Exodus 3:14) 2. The apostle Paul testifies that Christ has the name which is above every name [YAH]. (see Philippians 2:9) 3. YAH made it clear to Moses that although He, God, was known by many descriptive names, for example, El Shaddai, Emmanuel, Lord, Savior, Messiah, He only has One Personal Essential Name: YAH. 4. The apostle Peter states: “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” 5. The apostle Paul heard the Savior give His name in Hebrew on the road to Damascus (Acts 26:15). We know that the Savior did not say Jesus because: • The name Jesus has only existed since the 17th century c.e. (1611 English Bible: “Iesus.”) • The name Jesus is not a Hebrew name. • The name Jesus went through many linguistic changes: Iesus (ee-sus), Iesous (ee-ay-sous), a transliteration of Yeshua, which is a common Aramaic name at the time of Christ. • The Lord always revealed His name in Hebrew (Act 26:14-15). Behold the One Name by which we must be saved: YAHSHUA! And every tongue, language of mankind, is to know this one name YAHSHUA (Philippians 2:11). And this is the essence of the Gospel: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:16-18).

ISAIAH 53... is a Prophecy that talks about the pronoun "He/His" and "We/Us"... without identifying who is HE? The pronoun "He/His" (2nd person, singular, male gender), for the Jews, refers to the "Nation of Israel" as ONE Nation of God (YHWH)... for the Christians, refers to "Christ Jesus"... The pronoun "We/Us" (3rd person, plural, all gender), for both Jews and Christians, refers to the "Gentiles" or People that are not Jews/Israel or belong to the Nation of Israel... DEBATE: The Jews' strongest argument is Isaiah 53:10... which narrated that the pronoun "He" will see his OFFSPRING and PROLONG his days (longer old life like Abraham)... Christ Jesus has no family of his own, no wife, thus he has NO OFFSPRING, and Christ Jesus did not grow old for He died between 27 to 33 years old only (a young man)... The Christian's strongest argument is Isaiah 53:11... which talks about the "RIGHTEOUS (Sinless) SERVANT"... obviously, the Nation of Israel was NOT Righteous... why?... from time to time the Nation of Israel fall short in the Glory of God... they worship idols, they have been conquered by at least 4 Pagan Empires because of their Sins/Transgressions against God... God would not allow them to be conquered by other Nations if the Nation of Israel is Righteous... God will not also allow the 1st and 2nd Temple to be destroyed if the People of Israel are Righteous. Only God the Father is RIGHTEOUS as the Scripture had claimed... therefore, Christ Jesus is also "God in/with Flesh" because "He" is the only Righteous/Sinless (human) Man on Earth at that time before He ascended back to heaven and seats at the right side of God's throne... this proves for the Christians the Deity/Divinity of Christ Jesus... using the Prophecy of Isaiah 53:11... What do you think, your opinion, and where do you stand?... For Christians and Jews, do you have any other stronger argument from the Prophecy of ISAIAH 53?

New Covenant Whole Gospel: Who is now the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary? What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below. Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. The following verses prove the Holy Spirit is the master teacher for those now in the New Covenant. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. It’s time for the Jews to believe in Jesus. In the last days they will. Isaiah 53 is the most important book in the Bible. It predicted the death of Christ. This is what Jesus tried to tell them. He asked them haven’t you read the scriptures. He told the disciples that he was going to die. They didn’t understand because God blinded them. And God will open there eyes when the time is right.

Agreed that God would not go back on His covenant with the chosen people (Genesis, Deuteronomy) just because He extends that covenant to Gentiles later. God has been working with (sometimes dim and stiff-necked) humanity from the beginning. He has a nature and purpose spelled out in the Bible, and all who repent, accept His Word (Jesus/Yeshua the Messiah, Son of Man and God) and stay faithful, will be saved eternally.

this video with it's two talking heads of "organized religion" show the huge deficits I've witnessed the past 30+ years in a L-A-R-G-E segment of organized religion's pastors, leaders and teachers. A basic study of both OT and NT is readily understandable for most 1st World educated people WITHOUT the tons of false religions, false narratives, made-made doctrines that distort the quite CLEAR Word of God (for the most part). MeThinks God's patience with most of organized Christianity's quote "leaders" unquote is evaporated decades ago.

John MacArthurs point of needing the Old Testament to justify the New Testament and that is completely true and those people who criticize GOD in the Old Testament judgments have not thought through their criticisms of GOD because GOD had to teach Humanity again after the Garden and Then Cain and his descendants what is Proper standards for living and punishments for their sins. Without that justification for history. of Humans who were raised without the example of GOD in the Garden they must be taught basic principles and what constitutes sins and how to remedy accidental from purposeful damage to other humans. When we criticize GOD's judgments we should be very careful not to replace GOD's Authority to make moral judgements with our own. We are allowed to question but only to search for the legitimate reason why GOD's judgements are HOLY and Justified from HIS which should be our perspective..

ISAIAH 52:10... talks about the Salvation of God for the Nation of Israel thru the Jewish Messiah... that is why up to now they are still waiting for their Jewish Messiah/Mashiach because according to them Christ Jesus did not meet the written criteria (requirements) like when the Messiah/Mashiach comes/arrives for the first time, (not the second time) there will be: 1. Ingathering of the Exile (restoration of the 12 tribes of Israel which were slowly/gradually lost during the 4 Pagan Empires that conquered the Nation of Israel in different time spans). 2. Restoration of Court Justice (corruption at its Highest Peak until now) 3. End of Wickedness, Sins, and Heresy 4. Rewards to the Righteous 5. Rebuilding of Jerusalem (the entire City of Jerusalem that was destroyed by the 4 Pagan Empires that occupied Israel, not only just the Temple mount or the Temple itself) 6. Restoration of the Line of King David (a clear and full account of the descendant line/family tree of King David specifically thru His son, King Solomon, for King David, had other sons) 7. Restoration of the Temple Service: (original way of Temple Service during Prophet Moses Era that was lost) For the Jews/Israel when Christ Jesus came to this world for the 1st time, he did not fulfill those 7 requirements... During the time of Christ Jesus, there were no longer 12 Tribes of Israel existing in those time/period, and court Justice was so corrupt, etc... Aside from that, the Jews argued that since Christians claimed Jesus came from God, then TECHNICALLY, he is not from the LINEAGE of King David thru Solomon... St. Joseph was NOT clearly written from the Line of King David using Matthew's Gospel... Bible Scholars and Theologians find a MISSING lineage GAP that Matthew tried to fix in his Gospel... Even in the Lineage of Blessed Mary, the lineage is still unclear and still debated... When Jesus came, the Jews claimed that the Line of King David was not fully restored... nor the restoration of the 12 Tribes of Israel was seen in those days... The Christians, on the other hand, claimed that all 7 requirements will be fulfilled by Christ Jesus on His SECOND COMING... thus, for the Jews, Jesus was not their MESSIAH/MASHIACH promised to them by God during Jesus' first coming... therefore, Jews/Israel has the VALID reason to WAIT for their Messiah/Mashiach to fulfill all 7 requirements... logically speaking...

Too bad MacArthur and other missionary/apologist types don't actually read the rest of Isaiah. Isaiah is very clear about who the Suffering Servant is: * "You, Israel, are My servant, Jacob whom I chose...You are My servant" (Isaiah 41:8-9) * "You are My witnesses, saith the Lord, and My servant whom I have chosen" (Isaiah 43:10) * "Yet hear now, O Jacob My servant, and Israel, whom I have chosen...Fear not, My servant Jacob, and Jeshurun, whom I chose" (Isaiah 44:1-2) * "Remember these, O Jacob and Israel, for thou art My servant; I have formed thee; thou art My Servant, O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of Me" (Isaiah 44:21) * "For the sake of My servant Jacob, and Israel My chosen one, and I called you by your name" (Isaiah 45:4) * "The Lord has redeemed His servant Jacob" (Isaiah 48:20) * "Thou art My servant, O Israel in whom I will be glorified!" (Isaiah 49:3) * "Awaken, awaken, put on your strength O Zion...free yourself of the bands of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion" (Isaiah 52:1-2) Isaiah continues speaking of the Righteous Remnant of Israel - both in the singular and the plural - throughout the servant songs (and even into Isaiah 54). Anyone who reads Isaiah 53 in context will see that Isaiah is clearly speaking of the righteous remnant of Israel.

Acts 1:1-11 KJV “The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”

Isa 53:9 “he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death” the Suffering Servant does die. Vs10 “he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days” but He will rise again… If this passage is about the Jewish people then how do you reconcile that with verse 9? “he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.” Isaiah was writing during a great time of sinfulness in the nation of Israel warning them of great impending judgment from God because they transgressed His covenant given them on Mt Sinai. If the “He” of Vs3 is in fact Israel. Then who are the “we” in vs3 that are hiding their faces from him and despising him? If the “he” is Israel then the “we” must be Gentile nations I assume? If so, then how in Vs 5 does Israel receive wounds on behalf of Gentile’s transgressions? The only reason The Jews suffered after Sinai was for transgressing God’s laws. They suffered for their own sins. It makes a millions times more sense that this man in Isaiah 52-53 is Christ, the Messiah. The Suffering Servant of God. Its not so hard to see how his soul would be made an offering for the sins of His people. Look at the ceremonial law of the Torah. There must be an atonement made for sins. There must be a substitute, a sacrifice so that sinful men may be reconciled with a holy God. Read Psalm 22, Psalm 69, Psalm 110, Genesis 3:15, Genesis 22, psalm 118, Daniel 9, Micah 5:2, Zechariah 12…the whole Old Testament is about Christ. Thank you for your consideration of these things. praying for you.

Time to be saved is short, now is the day of salvation, tomorrow could be forever too late. "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God." Psalms 14:1. "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." Hebrews 9:27. "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:15. "For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not." Ecclesiastes 7:20. "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one" Romans 3:10. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23. We must be brought to true repentance in salvation, coming to the knowledge of the truth that we are not good, but ungodly, guilty, hell deserving sinners, who are totally lost and ruined in our sins before a Holy and righteous God, and powerless to save ourselves. We must see we cannot be saved by any works or doings of our own, and trust only in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, (God manifest in the flesh) His atoning blood/finished work of the cross to save. "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else." Isaiah 45:22. "what must I do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." Acts 16:30-31. "I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you: For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." 1 Corinthians 15:1,3-4. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10. If truly saved there will be the bearing of good fruit in thought, word and deed of being changed by God. Saved not only from the eternal penalty of our sin but it's habitual power, being made a new creature in Christ who desires Holy worship to a Holy God in Spirit and in truth. Seeking to grow in grace and in the truth of God's Holy Word, conforming more to Christ and His Word and not to this world. "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17. “Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world” Titus 2:12.

I believe that when the antichrist comes and shows his wonders and signs that the Jewish people will mistake him for their Messiah. I find it ironic that the Jewish people over 2000 years ago, would find it so hard to believe that the Messiah would come at such a time where God was worshiped the most from his chosen people. And God chose the Jews to bring forth his son. That is why they are called the chosen people. God knew that they were the most devout to Him. I mean exactly what are the Jews looking for in their Messiah? What will he look like ?what clothes will he be adorned in? What words will he say to convince them that he is the one that they have been waiting for? Why is it so hard for them to believe now and then that the messiah would come from such humble beginnings ? That is why I say when the antichrist comes, the Jews will be fooled to think that he is their Messiah.

Isaiah 53 is about why Israel had to suffer the Babylonian captivity. That is why the "past tense" is used, because it had already happened. Isaiah 53:10 confirms this as it speaks of seeing his offspring and prolonging his days, something that did not occur with Jesus but did for the nation of Israel. Add to this that Isaiah, on multiple occasions, tells us the servant is Israel, not Jesus. When you read the many OT passages that sound sort of like the future Jesus but aren't due to the full context, it begins to make more and more sense that the writers of the Jesus stories in fact used the OT writings as their source, swapping out Israel for Jesus. It is upon full context of the OT that one can see the stories of Jesus were reversed engineered.

@@Praise___YaH It's not that I don't understand the concept of Salvation that the bible lays out but rather that it is nonsensical. It would make more sense from the perspective of saving ourselves from ourselves. It makes more sense for Jesus to come from God with words of wisdom to save ourselves from ourselves. Also while you want to reinterpret the English version of Isaiah, I am not sure if you are also reinterpreting that Isaiah uses the past tense in that the suffering servant had already suffered and the part where the suffering servant's days would be prolonged and would have offspring. Your case isn't completely adding up. We certainly can accept the stories of Jesus also being a servant of God that suffered but we can have multiple suffering servants. It seems clear to me that Isaiah was referencing his country Israel as the suffering servant and it was in reference to them suffering the captivity from the Babylonians in the recent past before they regained their freedom again.
