Tony Evans is not a false teacher. I’ve listened to both McArthur and Evans for years now. This ‘teaching’ that McArthur is attributing to Pastor Evans is not at all typical of his sermons or Bible commentary. McArthur is not the only minister who preaches based on exposition from scripture Evans does also. I will conclude by saying be wary of depending on any one man for understanding scripture. Rely first on YOUR personal relationship with The Lord to give you discernment
His Excellent Way Ministries preach and teach the word of God for our understanding of the Scriptures. A few topical sermons, but their focus is on application for spiritual maturity of the believers. An invitation to non believers to join the family of God and an experience God's best.

Billy Graham believed this, also. He stated in magazines and on TV that a person could be a good Hindu...Muslim...even a good atheist and go to heaven.
John M. does not know what he is taking about. He does not know Tony Evans. I've listened to countless of Tony Evan's messages, read several of his books and have served in OCBF. Dr. Evans has said thousands of times that salvation is "faith alone in Christ alone. John M., you are a defunct church leader!!! Do your reseach, know what you are taking about. Tony Evans is is following scripture to a "T". You Sir, are not preaching the truth. Get your facts straigh!!!
You are wrong. I've listened to Tony Evens for years and had to stop because of his heretical views on these very topics that JM is talking about. It is true unfortunately. JM is not defunct, why you would say that is preposterous. JM IS speaking the truth, you need to get your facts right. I know It's hard to believe TE is wrong, but he is.

Second John is not saying Tony in general yea he’s salvation wrong. He is saying when it comes to people who have not heard the full Gospel, those who have not been exposed to Jesus that Tony’s teaching they will only be held responsible for the light they have received is wrong. The Bible indicates that those who respond properly to the light they are given will be given more light, but it does not support anyone being able to be made righteous without first coming to Christ in repentance and faith.
He is speaking on the issue specifically of those who do not have the gospel. How responsible are they having not heard the message of Christ. He is not speaking on Tony's standard Gospel message. Tony has made these statements about those who have not heard the Gospel and their responsibility to the light they have been given.
The words that I've heard Tony Evans use is almost verbatim from Billy Graham talking to Robert Schuller. This is another gospel, and is anathema... Galatians 1, 6-12 Tony Evans is saying that people can go around the door of the sheepfold and climb up another way!? Christ says that these are thieves and robbers.
@@abubbamundt100 I don't understand your question. If you are saying Evan's view on salvation is false, then yes. We must separate. Because evangelism will be seen as unnecessary, for the most part. This entire topic is idiotic. The Bible doesn't specifically address this issue in a manner that satisfies the entirety of human existence. "No gospel no salvation" is equally wrong for pre-christ periods, for the salvation of saints after the rapture, even for the thief on the cross there existed no gospel in the sense we know. Tony made an assumption that has some biblical roots and that's about it. His idea on this has no real life application to anything any one of you is reading this. Such stupidity in the Christian community arguing about something that doesn't matter
