What a good exposition on Proverbs 31. Easy to understand as well. Couldn't grasp the whole chapter before but now after listening to this sermon I got it. Many won't agree, but it is always better to obey the word than to follow the world and believe everything about what the world says about women today. Blessed. Thank you for sharing.
My Husband left me after 25 yrs of marriage, I worked my entire life married, I did everything in my power to empower my family, we had 4 kids suffered homelessness together and then he got an near death accident in construction he was awarded millions and he left us for a younger woman and started another Family (she broke the news to me via text) with a pic of their daughter… that happened in 2013… I’ve become a Mother and Father alone but with Jesus by our side ❤
Proverbs 31 31 The sayings of King Lemuel-an inspired utterance his mother taught him. His mother inspired this even tho he is King, the richest man in town..his Queen has to work like a dog, starting her work before daylight. No rest for her, she even cooks for other women in her house, her handmaidens, they are the ones who gets waited on, her husband gets to sit his azz down at the gate while she works like a mule....I wish I would. So, if your religious husband tells you to get a maid, like this woman you following did, you would say it's inspired by God but it's inspired by King Lemuel's mother who only want the best for her son. Those handmaidens are for her husband for sex because she is too tired, working from sun up to sun down.
1 Corinthians spells it out pretty well I think, but really it is achieved when woman and men see this as a beautiful reality that mirrors the big God of the bible. The role of the man and woman is meant to be a reflection of Gods greatness. The woman in her submission helps her man submit to God. The man in his responsibility and leadership continues to be the love of God (action, real, authentically devoted to Jesus) we all need
First you need to have Christ as your Savior. Pray pray pray, let go of worldliness and what the media says of women and men. Pray for wisdom - the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord. Loading the dishwasher, picking up your kids and listening to them, mopping the floor, buying the clothes needed, being attentive to your family's needs - that's what this is about. But first, ask Jesus to be your Savior and Lord.
Funny how Proverbs 31 was written to a man instructed by a woman. The woman in this proverb describes any Christian woman. Single, married, divorced or widowed. Free to develop her gifts and skills with her husband behind her. Yay!
The word of God in proverb 31 speaks about a married woman please refer to verse 10 and further more it talks about the family, children and husband. And yes the women should tell the man since it is befitting that for her to know. in titus 2:4-8 older women are to train young women this also inform us to the information that women know more in regards to her own roles and responsibilities according to the word of God. And that all she does is for her husband and family.

How many single women know to seek those qualities listed about the man when praying about potential marriage?The single woman who fears and loves God will learn of Him how to live within a marriage or remain single or survive divorce or widowhood Living in the fear of God totally surrendered to Him in whatever role or sphere of influence in life. As will the single man.

I am so grateful to have had the Mother we did! Proverbs 31 always reminded me of my dear Mother who died 25 years ago now! Mother was a devout Christian and we were raised in a Christ-centered home because of her love for Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible! I modeled myself after her when I got married and we had 2 children! I am an elderly widow now and our 2 children are both married, have their own homes, AND ARE SAVED! Praise God!❤

A sermon like this causes so much depression in my spirit, as I believed to be this kind of :10-31 wife and mother, yet, was rejected completely, even after a second effort of trusting the man who have send me off like being the worst servant ever born.

In 1962 my oldest sister was 20 and she came to ask permission from our father to get married. My father said no. My sister was already of age she did not need to ask my father for her permission but that's who we are as a family we don't ever do anything without our parents permission. But my father went ahead and use that opportunity as my oldest sister was 19. And I was 12 years old. He sent both my sister and myself down and we had a heart-to-heart talk with our father and he said if you think that you want to get married you're going to have taken consideration that your husband will be the head of the household if you do not think that you can allow your husband to be head of the household. Don't ever bother to get married..... My father always told us somebody in that house has to be the head of the household. And it's my father would say this is a man's world. But as ladies we make it as beautiful as we can.. and not put any undue burdens on our husband's that we don't need to. Thank you for your time
Only the man fully submitted to God is worthy of such headship. A woman reflects Gods glory and shows us how we should submit to God with our whole heart. May the man worthy of such submission find you.

@@TheSJStrikerthen women better be prepared to pray and Ask God for a God-Fearing man. And dont settle for someone who will cause you to be unequally yoked. This is why God warns us to not be unequally yoked. It was a warning. Because now you have to devote yourself to work even harder to live out your faith in Christ so that the other person can come to salvation. You should always be in Christian Character regardless of who he or she is…because God judges you for what you did at the end of the day. Dont worry about someone elses conduct…worry about your own. If you want someone worthy of that submission from the start…then you pray and ask God for that type of man. And i can tell you the greatest evidence if they are from God then they are already farther in their spiritual walk with God they are able to teach you about theology…they take care of you and the people inside your home. It wont be a question. A man from God already has God.

This can put even more strain on a marriage. However i am so much happier at home and determined to make it work! The real life examples of how to do it are extremely valuable. Feminists ( I did it my way ) are demonically driven to destroy not to build up the family. Women took this doctrine and swallowed it hook line and sinker. Our culture now 2024 has no clue what it takes to run a household. It is a lot of work. And rewarding. if the husband has a biblical world view it makes delight in the home. I agree with most you say, however, my Mom and now I have always mai tained our own bank accounts and i also maintain my own credit card. My Dad insisted, he was a long haul trucker. If something should happen to him on the road, my Mom could still pay bills until things were settled. I took that to heart and have done the same. My husband totally agrees. If somethinng happens to him, i have my own credit rating and bank account to deal with things until the estate is settled. I am a good steward of everything financial,, as well as my home. He is a wonderful father and provider. But being a provider also means forward planning for the unexpected and being confident that families are going to be ok and the wife can step up and continues to take care of things.
Godly women are virtuous and kind. Her household is peaceful and loves her husband and respects him as the head of the household. She breastfeeds her babies instead of giving them formula from foreign countries. Her husband is patient during her pregnancy and faithful to her, never committing adultery. Their children are kind and loving, mirroring their parents as they read and do Gods will within the cities. Gods churches
Stop shaming women for how they feed their babies! Several of my friends were unable to breastfeed (baby wouldn't latch, baby COULDN'T latch, chronic mastitis, inverted nipples). In times past, they would have hired a wetnurse if they could afford it. Or if the child couldn't latch, the child would have died. Nowadays they use formula. And every single one, as she fed her baby and kept her child alive, suffered judgment from busybodies telling them that they were "bad mothers" because didn't they know "breast is best"?
@@KRoy-lx4xg Thank you! Of course breastfeeding is best, it is the most natural, but you know what? We live in a world that is breaking down and so nature doesn't always work. When that happens, we should not judge others. Not everyone can do what seems best to us. We can only support them.

If, after salvation, women got this one message and really chased this, the world would be 90% closer to paradise. It really would. Our father told my sister and I that we were not to take our wedding vows serious.... Not to be saying them out loud just to have the devil take them. And run straight to hell with all our wedding.vows. May I share the reason that I am bible studying again. In 2003 allows my husband to the disease named Alzheimer's. I had only been married for almost than seven years. 2003 until 2021. I close out a chapter of my life of being a widow by choice for 20 years. The first seven years of my grief I would sleep all day and read the Bible all night. Everybody deals with grief different that's how I dealt with my grief. And the wedding vows I'm keeping at this time with this husband of mine of less 2 years. The wedding vows where it says for the good health or the bad Health.... Going to marry this man almost 2 years ago he was a healthy human being as we all should be. To the best of our abilities. With has healthcare issues to be lifetime on my husband's part now. He had told me now you can divorce me why do you want me now.. then I'm going to have health issues for the rest of my.life. I told my husband I did not marry you because you being rather handsome. We are married wakeboard was standing under the umbrella of the protection that the Lord gives us from this world.... I'm not going to let my husband's hand go now. The proverbs 31 lady firstly , has maid servants . Her husband is a respected figure. She does not have ADHD , Autistic and handicapped children to attend to , who clings to her 24/7 and she is not into prayer, warfare 24/7. She's busy about her family matters and no lady shld be aspiring to be like her without the SAME conditions that she has. It is inaccurate to cite her as a role model but not ensure that all ladies has what she has. Ladies, be led by the Spirit of God alone as we all have a unique divine purpose that God has for us. The letter kills but the Spirit gives life.
Im a widow that respected each and every word in that verse but unfortunately i couldn't fullfill some of them due to my husband's falt but i had done by the grace of God for my children my responsibility well thanks God for all grace to you
Oh my goodness. Shame on this pastor, I find it strange that he speaks of women's responsibilities before a mans when men are supposed to lead according to God's word. He is going down a dangerous road speaking of hard-working women like that. We work hard for our money too!! This isn't the 1950s anymore. Be careful, ladies who you chose to marry; so many men are disobedient to God and lazy. They trick you into thinking they will be a leader and a wonderful husband just for you to find out they are a liar. This puts mothers in extremely tough positions. I am priceless to my husband he couldn't do it without me, and he tells me this all the time. Our government has robbed women of staying home. It takes two in a marriage. Most men won't take the head of the home. They would rather the woman run the show its easier for them. God commands a man to be the leader and to be under his authority and to keep her in his word, but so many men won't. If you are smart, you will stay single. Then you can have a career and not be put down for it. God even says it's better to stay single. I work much harder than my husband, and he tells me that. We would live in a tent if i didn't work. I work a full-time job, and I deal with the house, the cooking the children, the grandchildren the bills the vehicles the yard work. I can't begin to list it all. I've been married 38 years, and he has never, even once, made me a meal. Even when I had covid and was very sick! My father is the same. He sits in a chair and doesn't do a thing. He's been retired over 20 years. He unfortunately refuses to do what God has asked him to do. My husband lets me do it all, and my poor, hard-working mother is 81 and exhausted, but she is a servant for the Lord. My father just benefits because of it. She is not a door mat. Remember, men only wear shorts on the beach strutting around it's not just women. God says many things in his word, but I fear this pastor has a bad attitude towards women his words are like a knife without any knowledge of each individual homes situation. I would like to know of any man who's impeccable nowadays, even with a perfect wife. Which doesn't exist. There is no one that is perfect. Thank the Lord for his grace and forgiveness. This pastor makes you feel as if it's too high of a mountain to climb. I have listened to him for years. You always go away feeling like you can't do enough! He isn't very loving as a minister to the people. He seems to only preach rules and laws. You speak of women as if they are trash beneath the feet of men if they aren't perfect. Jack Hibbs doesn't dress fancy like that, but he speaks from Gods word in a way that encourages people to want to serve the Lord and do better. You preach defeat and despair. There are some children that don't get to eat at all. I eat microwave food myself. To say a mom is wrong for having a job helping financially and not cooking a homemade meal is really ridiculous. I muted you because your words are being used in a negative and disrespectful manner to hard-working women. I know many many women that work two and three jobs and if she wants to buy nice clothes to feel pretty that is not being a disrespectful woman. You speak of tough women. The bible also says for men to love your wives , as hi own body. Also be not bitter agaist them yes prov.31: is a verygood pattern for woman, but she worked her job at home but had a business selling her product to the merchants in the market place. I personally was the stay at home mom, homeschooled my 2 children , took care of the house worked at my church's daycare babyset other peopl's kids at diffwrent times kids married l have6 gr chidren. I dont know how l did all this but gid helped me esp. With the homeschooling. God is gracious. Husband had a challenge at work awoman was involved. Ever sense ww2 woman had to be in the workforce. Wonderful Word. One question though, regarding a statement he made about no office woman having the capability of living up to Proverbs 31. My question is: are all wife not advised to hold office job? Kindly clarify.
Some women will never show their true self unless they find a man with good character, not just charming, dashing personality on the outside but good virtues shown in his actions. They carefully observe their actions, words and behaviour. Once she is confirmed that she found the man though imperfect in many ways but strives to uphold good morals, she steps in and fills the gap. No matter how hard it maybe for her, she endures bc her husband walks in righteous path and delights God. Her priority and will of God is to submit to her man, help him with decisions like Abigail, Esther in old testament. A man with good character becomes a best father for her children and proud grandpa of their descendants. But if the woman finds out the man is good only from the outside and deceiving from inside then she carefully plans her escape from him. She shows herself as a detestable woman in his eyes for him to reject her. Either stay single and serve Lord or select a man with good character to keep away from falling into sin, protect her household from generational curse. Good character is important so one supports other in difficult times bc flesh is weak. If a good person becomes corrupt later in life then prayer will fix them but choosing a deceiving person and falling into sin is worst decision.
I wonder why we read this proverbs chapter and never realize it’s a description of the remnant church on earth? Women try to meet these ideals and fail to their personal and private shame..God used the writings of Solomon..wisest man to ever live He said…to show us the fruits of the remnant church and why God loved and loves this Church above all. Further still…the 10 virgins represented the church on earth…and the seven women seeking 1 man to give them His name and they will do everything else, also represent churches…the daughters of the harlot also represented churches..not the remnant church. Finally the harlot of Babylon clothed in fine robes with the cup in her hand and the woman clothed in light with the stars over her head and the moon beneath her feet also speaks of the worldly church versus the remnant church. ❤ God tells us that a Woman’s true beauty is in her character. We can still learn character via Proberbs 31.
Put your focus on God first then your husband. You can work, just make sure your career doesn't get in the way of your faith and husband's needs. No husband, you can work but also use your time to focus on God and find ways to serve others.

@@briarpatchson3039 This woman gets up before daylight, she cooks, cleans, and is up most of the night sewing, looking after her household...WHAT...does her handmaids do. She is old and those handmaids are young laying in bed while she walking to work in the SNOW earning her keep. Her husband sits and hang out with his friends...like men today do while their wife work. HE is a King therefore SHE is the Queen why is she the only one doing everything...Snow...Really... The King has all the money and gets to hang out....The Queen waits on the whole house...BUT...she gets praise but not help...from no one.

It doesn't work that way, a proverbs 31 woman isn't good because her husband is good to her. She is good because her god is good, so she gives thanks to her god by honoring her husband. You shouldn't be a good wife because your husband is good, you should be a good wife because it makes God proud.
You can be a excellent wife with a fool for a husband.. not easy to be all of those listed and some you can't be die to husbands foolishness. God knows and sees you. Keep abiding in Jesus and trusting Him.
My husband died in 2018, after 31 years of marriage He wrote that verse in my Bible about me and gave it to me as a Christmas present. I have since remarried and I cannot do anything right. Two different men and two different opinions of me. I have tried until I can't do this anymore. The mental and emotional abuse has made me question my own self worth, although, I know I have bent so far I'm going to break. God is aware and sees me. I've tried to save the marriage to the extent that the 'I' I was , I can't find her. God help me to make the right decision. God is my father and I know he'll give me the grace to stay or go. It just blows my mind that I was a proverbs 31 wife to one man and nothing but a door mat to another. Just sad. 😢

Where are these excellent husbands??? I did alot for a man and he never once stayed faithful. He didnt protect, lead, or tell the truth. Lied and slandwred but was a so called godly man. He got praised . I heard submit no matter what. Not God's idea of love your wife, right?

Now in their early twenties and they did marry a proverbs 31 young lady. Not that there's anything against ladies of the this world . We all are raised different morals in our homes. As far as I'm concerned when I was a kid )(somebody in the household have to be the final say. In today's world most of the men are not leader nor provider hence the proverbs 31 women become even more excellent by becoming provider for the family, prioritizing her health and wealth and making her children independent.

Is it o.k. for a christian mother to be a physician and yet a neurologist.... The word wasn't "stupid" it was "dumb". The word dumb here is referring to people who did not have a voice in society. The people who were rarely listened to. It is not referring to people who are unintelligent. She is advising her son to stand up for those who were treated unjustly.
I believe that those verses were writen especially for the wives beacause they can apply that. Firstly, they are strong enough to consider this and make that happen. It was writen for them on purpose. Missing parts for men speak for themselves. Secondly, men in the bible have different positions. We must accept it as grown up women. It gives us greater freedom and self-conscioussness. We are different. Thanks to God, we can conquer the evil world in our homes. With God.
I worked part-time, but was always home when my children were home, and always had dinner ready for my family. I got married at 19, I'm 64, my husband is 65. Our children are married with happiness, and Love, we tried to always mentor them that God, family and your spouse and children are the most important things,not the world, live honestly with each other. I'm truly blessed, and my grandchildren call me Grandma. And our time together is cherished. My Husband is a blessing to me too. Let God lead, he'll bring the right Man to you. Proverbs 31 31 The sayings of King Lemuel-an inspired utterance his mother taught him. His mother inspired this even tho he is King, the richest man in town..his Queen has to work like a dog, starting her work before daylight. No rest for her, she even cooks for other women in her house, her handmaidens, they are the ones who gets waited on, her husband gets to sit his azz down at the gate while she works like a mule....I wish I would. So, if your religious husband tells you to get a maid, like this woman you following did, you would say it's inspired by God but it's inspired by King Lemuel's mother who only want the best for her son. Those handmaidens are for her husband for sex because she is too tired, working from sun up to sun down.
NOT. God is good and will provide for BOTH the Godly man and the Godly woman in God's Institution of Marriage. The problem is: not being equally yoked IN GOD within Marriage. Such an important topic. Life Changing. There are many men who are abusive about their Role in this. The home is supposed to be peaceful and loving, not chaotic or abusive. Those who both obey 100% Together have all the blessings one can possibly have in This place. Faith! Know the Bible, THAT IS THE TRUTH ABOUT EVERYTHING. It's this world that seeks to have us buy into the lies of satan. We need to get back but it takes many strong, God Loving men (& women) to do it. I add, I've seen women in careers that can have this home and be this wife/mother, but it is Rare (one of the couple is always resentful about it). Men need to step up so they can financially provide & physically protect his family. When times get rough (as it does) - Return to prayer Together and to God immediately. He takes care of Things. If a woman or a man does not understand this Marriage concept will never be happy in marriage b/c it's endeavored into based on a lie. Lies come from satan. Pray for a Godly mate and God will deliver if your will and God's Will are aligned.
