From a young age, John Magiro, was drawn to engineering and technology, like moths to flames. His teachers say that he always showed his aptitude for technology. From tinkering with dynamos, John Magiro's hydopower company supplies clean energy to a factory and thousands of rural dwellers in Murang'a County, Kenya. This, thanks to a grant he received through NETFUND and WWF-Kenya.

They have a product to sell and make money but not the crooks in government that only steal tax payers resources to enrich themselves. Some have never worked in life yet are millionaires .

People are still confusing energy with electricity or electric grid Energy we use mostly is mechanical rotational (washing machine, heat exchangers, fridge compressor, workshop tools, kitchen mixer, grain mills, etc) that can be powered directly by a shaft of vawt wind turbine or water turbine as this case The other energy we use is thermal for cooking, glass or metal melting, clay curing furnace, etc and that can be obtained by simple big solar water lenses or aluminum mirror concentrated solar Electricity is only needed for citcuits

The flip side concern is, how many are willing to bring positive change?

@@brianmarv Good to know where you from. Trust me I understood your statement. There are so many people, land and resources in these different countries in Africa. If many African countries had supportive leaders like Kenya we would have been somewhere. But most countries can not support such talent because of envy. If you check out countries having load shedding as at now have a lot of such brilliant talented minds among their youths to minimize the problem, but just can't support them because of jealous. Yet they have PhD holders in electrical engineering among the ministers and managers of power utility companies who aren't innovative. Shame!!!

Compare and contrast to a young Irish lad who took a 4 inch pipe of water from a river to power a turbine. The authorities got a digger in, destroyed the pipe, turbine and small impound pool made by moving a few large rocks leaving a pile of rubbish (the materials alone probably cost about 200-500 euro) and told the local farmer to clear it up!! Kenya he's a hero, Ireland and most of Europe, get your ass kicked for being a naughty boy! The river in question, back in the 1830's had a dozen water powered mills on it, all gone today. Such a great resource ignored for giant wind turbine monstrosities plaguing our skylines, that don't even supply basic demand and cost a fortune via our energy bills.
