So many artists lately make it so difficult to listen to access/listen to their music online. Mayer, on the other hand, puts all of his audio tracks on youtube the day Wave 2 is released. You can tell this guy is really all about the music: creating and making sure his art is accessible to as many people as he can. Gotta love Mayer.

His songs are multi-peeled. Every time you listen to the same song, each new time one peel comes off and reveals a whole new element. The liking increases exponentially. May God give him a long life!

Whenever I listen to a new John Mayer song, I just appreciate him so much more. What an artist.

This is the classic example of "don't judge a book by it's cover" . I saw the title and thought wow how dumb, but it's one of the best songs he's ever written. The vocals and harmonies are incredible. Thanks J

I vividly remember hearing this song mid 2019 with my ex. We both knew our relationship was about to come to an end and as the song continued we held each other’s hand that much tighter. It was just a wave, and all we could do was hold onto one another as long as we could. It’s hard to hear this song but it sure does bring great memories that I’ll hold onto forever..

Had my first baby at home and this song was on the playlist I created and I remember exactly the moment it played… “it’s just a wave, and I know that when it comes, I just hold on until it’s gone” and it got me through one of the hardest contractions. I am in labor again today, 2 years later and listening to it over and over again ❤️ I’m ready to meet my new baby. This time my heart is where it’s supposed to be ❤️

'The Search For Everything' is sooo appropriately titled... All I can think about is 'Heavier Things' and 'Battle Studies'. The man literally put all the elements of every album he's done onto this project. Gotta feeling it might become my favorite work from him

This song is insane. I spent my entire night going through my death metal/grind playlists for a friend... and then in the morning I was made aware that John had released Wave 2... This song blew me entirely away on first listen, the whole EP did... And then I listened a second time about a half an hour later and it made me cry. Beautiful doesn't describe it.

It sends me back to the live dvd at LA. Same vibe. So intimate. Then the chorus invites us all. DAMN

when I first listened to this song (by accident, my phone just shuffled to it while I listened to his essentials), I thought: what a weird song title. and like almost every single song of John's, it pulls me IN and IN and even more IN again. I have listened to this about 30 times since yesterday. It's stuck in my head... the first times I "got it", I cried really hard. now, I feel at peace. the way he arranged this song gives me goosebumps and fills my heart with love. It's like the sweetest lullaby you never wanna stop listening to. while he clearly expresses pain, it's oh so soothing. this song feels like a hug. a 4 minute hug.
