the Cheyenne tribal chief did a blessing and the concept was to get people to stop mistreating the protected. they were really good operatives, but they would at times mistreat the protected. they said they had a protector connection with it. however, people got obsessed with the existence of it and the protector being so idolized and his connection with it.
My favorite cover of this song is a tie between Matt Anderson and Mumford and Sons.... this one just doesn't seem to have the heart of the other covers or the original... you gotta FEEL this song
