I hope RU-vid never shuts down, because if it did I wouldn't be able to hear old not-so-popular songs of John Mayer also not forgetting the acoustic versions of them as well...
Thanks Mayer for being there my senior year of high school at one of worst breaks ups, and one of my worst adult break ups. Continuum has been a go to move in the heartbreak arena. Love this acoustic version of the all time master of my generation, guitar genius.
and to think there was a time when i was embarrassed to say i liked JM's music... i was such a stupid kid. and now i constantly write songs thinking "does this sound too much like John Mayer"... i seriously look up to him.
People have the right to fly And will when it gets compromised Their hearts say "Move along" Their minds say "Gotcha heart" Let's move it along Let's move it along And airports See it all the time Where someone's last goodbye Blends in with someone's sigh 'Cause someone's coming home In hand a single rose And that's the way this wheel keeps working now That's the way this wheel keeps working now And I won't be the last No I won't be the last, To love her You can't build a house of leaves And live like it's an evergreen It's just a season thing It's just this thing that seasons do And that's the way this wheel keeps working now That's the way this wheel keeps working now And you won't be the first No you won't be the first To love me You can find me, if you ever want again I'll be around the bend I'll be around the bend I'll be around, I'll be around And if you never stop when you wave goodbye You just might find if you give it time You will wave hello again You just might wave hello again And that's the way this wheel keeps working now That's the way this wheel keeps working now You can't love too much, one part of it You can't love too much, one part of it You can't love too much, one part of it You can't love too much, one part of it I believe (You can't love too much, one part of it) That my life's gonna see (You can't love too much, one part of it) The love I give (You can't love too much, one part of it) Return to me (You can't love too much, one part of it) I believe (You can't love too much, one part of it) That my life's gonna see (You can't love too much, one part of it) The love I give, return to me I believe, that my life's gonna see The love I give Return to me
♬You can't love too much one part of it.♬ ♬I believe that my life's gonna see the love I give returned to me.♬ Two of my favorite of JM's lyrics. This magnificent song from a young, brilliant JM.
as long as I remember youtube being popular; I remember chaferbud being there to deliver rare, acoustic and spectacular J.M. cuts. Thanks for the service you provide man.
You have just made my month, my year. This is, by far, my favorite song. Of John Mayer or anyone. I love finding rare tracks and this just takes the cake
One of the, if not even THE BEST solo acoutstic performance i've ever heard! Thanks alot JM and chaferbud, Will send love back in my next meditation set
Man, I can't thank you enough for your uploads. I've been so into John's recent albums along with his playing in Dead & Company that I've been almost neglecting the gold from the earlier days. Time to give Room For Squares another listen I think!
@@jerrychiemeke7525 you’re totally right! I may have said RFS because it was his first major label album and I just wanted to go back to the beginning but it’s quite likely I said the wrong album lol
People have the right to fly And will when it gets compromised Their heart’s saying "Move along” Their mind’s saying "Gotcha heart" Let's move it along Let's move it along And airports, see it all the time Where someone's last goodbye (yeah) Blends in with someone's sigh (yeah) Cause someone's coming home In hand a single rose And that's the way this wheel keeps working now That's the way this wheel keeps working now And I won't be the last No I won't be the last, to love her (yeah, yeah, yeah) (check this out) And You can't build a house of leaves And say how you call it, you call the evergreens (and your answering machine!) It's just a season thing It's just this thing that seasons do And that's the way that this wheel keeps working now That's the way that this wheel keeps working now And you won't be the first No you won't be the first To say you love me To say you love me (ah) (Oooh, Yea yeah) x2 (See), You can find me, if you ever want again now I live around the bend, I live around the bend I'll be around, be around, be around I’ll be around, be around, be around And if you never stop when you wave goodbye You just might find if you give it time, you will wave hello again You’re gonna wave hello my friend And that's the way this wheel keeps working now That's the way this wheel keeps working now You can't love too much, one part of it You can't love too much, one part of it You can't love too much, one part of the wheel (yeah) You can’t love too much one part of it You can’t love too much one part of it You can’t love too much one part of it now I believe (You can't love, you can’t love, you can’t love) That my life's gonna see (You can't love) The love I give, return to me I believe (You know I really do believe) That my life is gonna see The love I give, return to me
I totally agree. John actually says that in his Where the Light Is DVD. He says it was his failure to sound like SRV and his idols that created his sound.
One of the few musicians I have ever heard, in line with James Morrison, who sound better live than on their CDs. Amazing. So truly beautiful and soulful
This music is so beautiful. Sometimes I wish he would be able to step away from the pop aspect but at the same time everyone is aware that his past has set his present & future, and I feel as if we are headed in this direction. Even though this song is old it reminds me of the John who has reached the maturity of 2012.
I miss he playing the old songs live, but I still loving almost every new release he does, songs like Emoji of a Wave and Rosie... but of course the old ones like My Stupid Mouth, Why Georgia, Clarity and so many others are special.
I miss the old him too. Now he's hanging out with shawn mendes and making songs like "new light" i can't find words to define how bad he became over the years
haha Don't feel bad, I do the same thing when I write songs too. I don't know who said this but, when you fall short of imitating your idols, that's when you find your sound.
I love this but honestly I wish he'd left out the slap technique in this one... To me, it's too strong of a percussive feel for this quiet and delicate of a song
