@@rawheadrex8487 Some people do not want to publically announce that, he may be a public figure but he deserves the dignity of being allowed to keep some of his life personal, its not uncommon, David Bowie, Alan Rickman, Freddie Mercury, to name just a few wanted to maintain control and not have everything about them in the press.
@@spaceysno1girl-youtuber I agree but for one massive flaw. If you want to keep your illness a secret...fine.....just don't go blaming other people for it.....especially when you know you have cancer. McCririck was going around citing being sacked by Channel 4 Racing as the reason for his illness.
the way he is here seems a true reflection of him, beyond the bluster and bravery he wasn't as horrible as people thought. Very sad that he was too ill to have an op to remove the cancer at an earlier treatable stage, to see him like this is a shock and very sad, a shadow of hus former self, its always sad to see even those we may not like fade away like this, and his wife was clearly devoted to him she must be lost without him x
So sad and frightening to see people fade away with the horrible that is cancer Thanks for the many amusing and entertaining Saturday mornings and afternoons Big John. Saturday racing coverage hasn't been the same since the Channel 4 team breakup. R.I.P Big Man
Absolutely heartbreaking seeing John McCririck in this frail way. I’m 19 & grew up around C4 Racing & his larger then life personality on the Morning Line & the Racing in the afternoon. I’m shocked to see that no Racing channel has taken John on at least now & again. I pray that John does improve & we see him in a much better frame of mind
Ha that comment made me laugh I used to lift a girl in and out my bedroom window when at my parents. .we got cought and my mum give the the girl that name
I loved John McCririck he was such a character love him in Big Brother and celebrity Wife Swap and I love him even more for saying he was a fan of Deal or No Deal legend of a man
A MAN who stands by what he said and says ....A dying breed .good luck John .didn't always agree ,but respected you as you had actually thought about things before they came out your mouth. ..again ,again dying breed ...well done sir ....well done .
Hi, Has anyone got the coronation street jeremy kyle special. I think it aired on 18 March 2010. It's the one with Michelle Keegan and Jack P Shepard on. Thanks. Can't find a decent quality version anywhere.
Every Dog has it's day. I think many people got to come to expect John when they tuned into the racing. He was very good at getting attention and was good advertisement.
Good to see John Mcririck, just goes to show how much weight you lose falling seriously ill, he’s almost unrecognisable , but it sounds like his problems started after being let go, by channel 4 racing, his health obviously went downhill fast, poor John. And his lovely wife is caring for him, god knows where he would be, if his wife wasn’t by his side, god bless you John, take care.
I am shocked about his weight and I actually sympathise with the guy. In 2010 I also lost my job and went through a deep deep depression for 1 year and 6 months. I eventually got a job and came out of the depression. But I too was very ill like John. I felt worthless.
An extremely truthful person although his stubbornness could come across as quite aggressive at times, I saw him as British heritage...personally cause I was brought up watching him every Saturday on TV as we only had the one back then. haha... Very much liked 🌺RIP🌺
I loved him on CBB on both occasions and in my opinion he was by far the most entertaining to watch. I used to look forward to seeing the show each day thinking OMG what has he said and done today to annoy the other house mates. And when he was evicted each time the spark simply wasn't there any more. I wish I had met him, even though he probably would have insulted me at some point..lol. He left us in 2019 and at least he missed all the rubbish in 2020 onwards. RIP JM xx
My God there are some AWFUL people out there, how would you feel to be as ill as that and be criticised .God help you all when you get this sick I bet you would not have the bottle to appear on T.V with these health issues. best wishes John Mcririck and lovely wife .
I agree, I think nowadays, people aren't looking for individualism on TV. That includes the workplace in general. In the case of John, he was discriminated because of his age, he's out spoken and isn't willing to change. Don't get me wrong, I think it's healthy to bring in fresh young people for the future, but I do think there is a place for people like John on TV when you look at his experience, knowledge and TV personality. Most TV Bosses and Directors these days prefer squeaky clean, boring, very PC and soulless presenters who read off a script or teleprompter.
Sarah Jones certainly! Make two victory symbols with each of your hands. Now intersect those victory symbols. Now apply that image to Booby and yourself.
So incredibly heartbreaking, he said what he thought and his love for his wife "the booby" was immense. Horse racing has never been the same without you John.
RIP John, I always found him very down to earth, old school, say it as you see it with a massive personality, certainly not the wishy washy frankly boring self obsessed people of todays generation...
Rest in peace john watched him since young boy on channel 4 a real character funny entertaining pity the feminist snowflake generation didnt understand him
I am politically the complete opposite of John BUT I always admired his honesty, expressing his truth & not pandering to social politics. Can’t say I liked him but my admiration is very high.
@@dominicaaaaa5547 In this age of alternative opinions causing hate & aggression he was a middle finger aimed directly as the madness of the modern world
They put up a quote from John saying he wasn't dying, it's strange they put that on the screen because he was dying at the time. You can see he's seriously ill just by looking at him.
This man i adored im gay and it doesn't matter but i know John would never question it, he wouldn't judge me for it, channel 4 sacking him broke his soul ITV racing should have hired ihm
R.I.P john. Your a legend and I'll always remember you. I'm taking less doctors drugs and I'm on a high dose of vitamin C which is better than flu jab. He was treated bad and he wasn't happy. It makes me say dont trust these doctors. I'll miss you john!
Long as u don’t take him too serious he’s ok,, on a racing note , he was a punters friend, stated things that the bosses upstairs didn’t like , so overall racing is poorer for John not being amongst it,,👍
Couldn't stand him when I was a boy, Because my da would have the racing on, When I was wanting to watch cartoons.. But grew to love big John, As I got older.
@@glasgowisblue5366 Same here my mum had a Sat job n me n my young brother were not allowed to speak when the racing was on lol. I became the same dad 2 my 2 lol
He was a shadow of the man he was after being axed by channel 4, but who got the last laugh, wasn’t long after that channel 4 racing coverage moved to ITV. As soon as John went, Francombe, Cattermole, Tanya Stevenson it wasn’t the same... if it’s not broken don’t try and fix it. A bad move for the ratings and the Saturday afternoon punters.
