I heard John sing on A&O Celtic music when Lyle Skinner played music for seniors, and I fell in love with his voice, I have been playing the beautiful Christmas song "Christmas Memories" for some time. You have a beautiful voice and I will play your songs as long as I have ears to hear.
Morning has broken like the first morning Blackbird has spoken like the first bird Praise for the singing Praise for the morning Praise for them springing fresh from the world Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven Like the first dewfall on the first grass Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden Sprung in completeness where his feet pass Mine is the sunlight Mine is the morning Born of the one light Eden saw play Praise with elation, praise ev'ry morning God's recreation of the new day Morning has broken
Beatyful songs and beautyful voice. See in conection with waltzing Matilda by the same artist. Then you grasp the hope for a new world without such horror.
Sorry, Mirgil1964 but Cat Stevens did not write this song The tune is a traditional Gaelic melody which Mary M. MacDonald used for the words of her hymn “Leanabh an àigh (Child in a Manger)” “Morning has Broken” was later written by Eleanor Farjeon to the same tune. Cat Stevens can only claim credit for his arrangement and making the song popular. Lovely song and beautifully sung by John McDermott
