The US Open is the final Grand Slam of the year and takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The 2022 US Open saw Spain's Carlos Alcaraz and Poland's Iga Swiatek claim the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first US Open title, with Alcaraz claiming his first Grand Slam title and Swiatek claiming her third Grand Slam title. The era of McEnroe and Borg was the greatest time for tennis. They changed the game for ever and created the greatest tennis matches I have ever seen, thankyou 👏👏👏

That 84 season was the best year any player ever had. McEnroe only lost 3 matches and he should have won the French.

agreed. One of those losses was in Davis cup so only two losses all year in tournament play.

I don't think I've ever seen John play a finer match than the 1984 US Open final, amazing play. It's also hard to believe he never won another major after that.

I still remember #10! Great match but I remember Tony Trabert saying “ I hate to say this at this point in such a great match, but that was a really dumb shot on Jimmy’s part! He should’ve thrown that ball up as high as he could have, and made Jon deal with a ball that was up in the lights and hit an overhead!” I can’t say that I really disagree 🤷‍♂️
