There is exactly no possible economy of the reasoning. You have to go deep in the past events, from the beginning, looking at the facts and understand the reasons for these behaviors. You have to study and understand the culture of muslims from its origins. For example, the dhimmi, which imposes a tax to inferior communities like Jews and Christians, if they want to stay alive. They are convinced that inferiors must stay inferiors.

People want jews to leave their indigenous homeland of a united israel, only be a land for arabs making the jewish indigenous homeland completely judenfrei in the nazi context. We, the indigenous people the jews and samaritans were the last people on the land to fight for their self determination pre 1947, fought in the 600s under the byzantines for our land and independence and now that we are back will fight again against the new non indigenous people fighting against us, the arabs. Why do all other indigenous peoples get support except jews? That’s the racism against jews. If it causes the ethnic cleansing of Arabs then they shouldnt live on jewish land just like the europeans shouldnt live in america 😂😂😂😂 🤡

People get angry when they realize our communities are crumbling while giving money to foreign nations. People don't forget that Netanyahu pushed the US to war with Iraq which caused so many suicides in the US. Netanyahu was probably the one who pushed the Trump administration to take out Soleimani. Then you have the Abraham Accords which totally cut Palestinians out of negotiations. And people really think that will not stir up a hornets nest within the Iran regime? October 7th might have been a direct result of those actions.

I hope everyone sees conflicts for what they really are. Many people without much power struggle to make themselves heard. It's important for everyone to doubt the information they get because powerful bad people often control important parts of the system. This means the stories we hear might not be true-they could be shaped by those powerful people. Palestine shows how many face similar problems. We couldn't win many fights because we were not strong enough. But if we all help each other, those who are weak can speak up for what's right. That would be a victory for all of us, a win for fairness and truth.

The Oslo II Accord signed in 1995 gave the Palestinian Authorities (PA) maritime jurisdiction over its waters up to 20 nautical miles from the coast, therefore, the PA signed a 25-year contract for gas exploration with the British Gas Group (BGG) in November 1999. In 2000, two wells drilled by British Gas off the coast of Gaza revealed gas reserves estimated at 1.4 trillion cubic feet. Sixty percent of those reserves belong to Palestinians. In July 2000, the Israeli prime minister granted BGG security authorisation to drill the first well, Marine 1, as part of political recognition by Israel that the well was under PA jurisdiction.

The establishment of the state of Israel in my understanding was a response to the ongoing persecution and killing of Jewish people through history...long before the wholesale slaughter during ww2. The Jews wanted a place where the could live without the fear of annihilation and the rest of the world agreed to a great extent. The actual establishment of state was messy and brutal in many ways and the maintenance continues to be volatile. I pray for the peace of all in the region.

Israel are build for those zealot Jews that becoming problem in western nation(yes for me a non westerner that connotation incl. Russia), this notion are strengthened by castration mandate to many colored Jews(i.e those Jews that used to live outside of western nations), and many should notice native Jews that live on Palestine territory are also have a lot of hate toward Zionism. Western prop up and support of zionism and subsequent Israel state as experiment on Jews. Why they choose Palestine territory at the time a British Mandate?there are at least 3 reason, 1. As many zealot are easy to turn toward zionism when holy land are mentioned;2. Gave some sort of outpost into Middle East that its trade route and resources are very important to western nation added bonus to rein in the Arabs;3. To gave western nation excuse of their wrongdoing by saying ‘looks i gave u a chance in turn you are no better than us’ toward those zealot. The last reason is why Israel doesn’t abide any western advice and second ones are the reason why seemingly unwavering support of Israel’s conduct by western nations. Western used Zionism as their tools, vice versa knowing that Zionist used western supports to gain more and more leverages. And those kind of sick relationship are maintained by sacrificing Palestinian rights to determination. All Jews should be able to live peacefully all around the world, like all people should, and ofc having all the rights and responsibilities as all people should also.

Listening to John Mearsheimer's explanation, it's clear that the debate around antisemitism, anti-Zionism, and criticism of Israel is extremely nuanced and often misinterpreted. Mearsheimer argues that conflating criticism of Israel with antisemitism dilutes the meaning of a serious term. Isn’t it possible that by expanding the definition of antisemitism to include all forms of criticism against Israel, we risk overlooking genuine instances of antisemitism? Also, can we have an open and honest discussion about Israel's policies and U.S.-Israel relations without being labeled antisemitic, or is this an unavoidable consequence of delving into such a contentious issue? Let's discuss the implications of Mearsheimer's views on free speech and the importance of nuanced discussions in understanding complex geopolitical issues.

No the implication that Israel is solely responsible for peace or a two state solution or behaving like a state is what is anti-semitic. This was an interesting discussion but I tried to look at this from kind of outside of the current situation and instead more from a general perspective. What appears to be happening is people are using a textbook ad hominem to attack a person vs the message. Lex brought up a valid point regarding the dog whistle thing and how in some contexts, like this one, there really are bigots making some of the same sort of arguments that non-bigots might also make. On one hand racists do exist and on the other it is a classic political ploy to simply reduce any criticism to some extreme offense like overt bigotry or whatever and then attack those people directly. China is really good at attacking critics and seems to always need to be seen in some positive light like a fake almost "plastic" instagram account. I'm not saying China is bad or whatever but rather that the country reacts pretty strongly to any negative criticism in a similar way as a narcissist might react to negative criticism. How does one filter out the noise and get the signal in a situation where the noise is a mix of bigotry and ad hominem?

I'm a Jewish person. I criticize Israel and its policies All the Time. That is not Antisemitic. But most DO NOT understand the definition of Zionism. It's a very simple concept and ideology. There should and could be ONE ethnocentric Jewish country in the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people. It's okay John. After all, we understand you do not accept it. John denies Jewish ancestral connection to the land and denies The State was created from British Mandate Palestine and accepted by those Zionists. Arabs could never accept it. John still asserts that Palestine was a State destined for Arabs to control and the fate of Jews would be similar to what happened throughout Arab countries. Also pushes his book which has been debunked by hundreds of scholars who ARE NOT Jewish. Good try Lex, but most historians don't have a lot of interest in John and his pal Steve.

The territory is so small there that there probably won't be a 2 state solution. The real solution is to transfer the Arab Muslims into Arab Muslim states (there are many of those), which have lots of space and let Israel take the territory since it's the only Jewish state. Also i want to say that the talk about occupation is stupid because every country occupies the territory it occupies, it's stupid to blame Israel for occupation since every country was founded based on the people occupying it and declaring it a state. For example if the Indians would start fighting to liberate their land the U.S would kill any who will try, so why is he concerned with Israel only?

You embody Reason, especially if you’re going to judge others negatively for not doing so (in one form or another like calling them racist or antisemitic), approaching all statements with intellectual honesty (good faith), a spirit of understanding (the Holy Spirit), and Logic (God). Logic makes it clear what the Truth is (Universal Logic itself being fully coherent with the Complete and Absolute Truth, and with Reality as Reality truly is). Even a murderer can know God, write a nations Laws and tell the Truth, as Moses did for Israel, and even an antisemite can have valid criticisms of Israel that should be listened to and taken to heart (if and when they are rational and well reasoned criticisms - even if come to by way of bias against Israel and someone looking very deeply for flaw because of an unreasonable hatred).

geezus christ, you listen to all that and that was all you left with. also you conflate the two issues. he NEVER said isarel should NEVER exist. he said he supports the 2 state solution. you're the problem. just like those lobbist and pro zionist. you conflate different issues into one, so that you can justify any opposing criticism as antisemitism. what you said is very dishonest and bad faith. and is the very talking points these lobbyist and pro zionist use to justify calling anyone antisemetic in order to silence them. a 2 state solution is NOT antisemetic. obviously saying "isarel shouldnt exist" would be antisemetic, especially at this point. its too late. israel is an established country, trying to solve the palestinian problem by reversing and sayinh isarel shouldnt exist is NOT a solution. you dont solve one genocidal problem by enacting another genocide. THAT said. all that said. truthfully, i wouldnt have cared about this conflict had it been countries with no relations to the US. in the sense that, obviously i support any countries right and its citizen to self defense. just like i how i can understand the palestinian plight and why some would bear arms to resist as terrorist (hamas); AS WELL AS israel's right to self defense after oct 7. its FOOKIN war people. it will be messy, it will be ugly, and it will be bloody. nothing is perfect in war. so im not against israel doing the thing they do in gaza as well as not against palestinian having anger and resistance against israel. BUT WHAT IM AGAINST, and this irks soo much. is that isral does so on behalf of the US taxpayers. our fookin money. the US taxpayer funds israel with weapons and $$$. any by doing so, the arab world and muslim world broader logically view the US as responsible to this. its gotten so bad, the US dont have the will to tell israel to stop because of their strong lobbyist group because they hold so much influence with politicians. which makes me worried because i cant help but think maybe this is what led to 9/11. had the US not chosen to fund israel's expansion and growth post ww2, had the US been able to have these discussion without being shut and silence. maybe the US couldve avoided 9/11 in an alternate timeline, and avoid the war on terror, the iraq war, financialy in debt, etc. in that alternate timeline, maybe the middle east would be in the palms of the US (figuretively, in terms of friendly relations), the US would be the leader of OPEC, gas would be fookin cheap, solving the shiite-sunni problem would be much easier problem to resolute then the jew israel vs muslim problem.

@@rockyoussef Naive interpretation. The Jews are indigenous to the land of Israel, which Mearsheimer seems to deny. The only colonoization and ethnic cleansing that has taken place in the region is the ethnic cleansing of the Jews. Also forgot to mention that. Islam is a religion of colonization and ethnic cleansing. You'd think so-called historians like Mearsheimer would be able to understand more than just a few decades of history.

@@gsurtos6588 as if a two-state solution hasn't been on the table numerous times. He talks as if the failure of a two-state solution was all Israel's fault. He never talks about the multiple times Palestine rejected this and what their motive to reject was. The whole Middle East has cleansed itself of the Jews with the exception of Israel. The Palestinians don't want a two-state solution. They don't want Jews there at all. The Hamas charter says so. And you hear them in the streets: "From the River to the Sea." Mearsheimer couldn't be more disingenous in his analysis of this conflict.

The one truth about Jews we all need to understand, especially conservative Jews, is that they are just like the rest of us. All religions and cultures like to think they are the best, they are the only ones that know which version of god is real, and that we all like to look down on people that aren't like us but hate when they do that to us. In other words we are all humans with all our potential greatness and just as many flaws. This means in Israel as well as any other country there are good policies and bad, there are those that want to impose their culture and religion and there are others that think that has no place in government, and those in power always call those that disagree with them some version of anti-semite which which is meant to imply those that don't agree with them want to destroy or kill them.

It depends on a person's motivation for criticizing Israel. From what I've observed from this guest: he's antisemitic. I don't believe the conclusions he draws from the same information I have indicates he has any positive thoughts about Jews. He keeps referencing the "occupation" of Gaza (as if that was reality). Israel physically removed their own citizens from their homes in Gaza and gave it to the Arabs. That is not an occupation!

I completely agree with your perspective. There are plenty (if not most!) Jews who are critical of the Israeli government. But that certainly does not mean Israel has no right to exist (as is the Hamas and PA charters). As a mediator, I would say both parties likely have legitimate complaints and the truth is probably somewhere in between. a two state solution with both parties being 70% happy with the outcome is probably a realistic scenario

I don’t know who is making the claim that it’s antisemitic to criticize Israel. At most I’ve seen claims that it’s antisemitic to be anti Zionist because the dissolution of Israel as a state would result in a genocide of the Jews within the area of what is now Israel. The more sensible antisemitism claims, by my estimation, are towards those who support Hamas given that Hamas has explicitly genocidal language _still_ in their charter (despite the update).

African Americans can burn down entire cities, loot, destroy and assault, nobody will say a word and they don't dare to, because they will be silenced.
