@@ingridhernandez7519 I think that Tony Reno was removed from the band was the day Europe ended or the band died, and they were never able to play vibrant enthusiastic and hard music like in the first 2 albums again. I think Ian Haugland is a good drummer but not as Tony... It was a pity because Tony was totally different ...
@@avocate2017 Yeah,.,Pisses me off he doesn't play a Start anymore,.Dumb Move,.The tone he has here is the Best EVER of ANY guitar player,.NONE of them Beat Ninja LIVE,..NONE~ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SMjn8saXZBg.html Fight me,.ANYONE!~,..LOL
JHOHN"""" MAESTRO """ GRACIAS POR VOLVER A !!!! EUROPE !!!!
Thats the diff between Les Paul and Strat it takes a really good player to use that Paul Fretboard John nails it and so Did Gary Moore,,, rest his soul..
John Norum, Steve Lukather, Richie Sambora, Eric Clapton, Steve Vai, (Not so much Satriani) Gilmour, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page, Brian May, and of course Randy Rhoads, there are others but to name just a few. Great guitar players of all time.
... Hello folks, I'm a bit confused here. Who wrote the guitar solo of the song "Rock The Night" - by Europe? Norum or Marcello? In the tape recorder cassette cover of The Final Countdown album that i bought long time back, I still remember that it was mentioned as John Norum on guitars but in their official music vdo, it's Kee who's shown playing the🎸 solo. And also in most of their live concert VDOs, Marcelo played the solo more or less like it's in their studio/album recordings whereas John played his 'own version' like modifying/improvising it in some parts. Pliz, someone here may kindly enlighten me on this. Thank you, folks (maybe back then i didn't care much about who wrote the 🎸solo bcz all that matter to me then was, as long as they came out with good songs & music, it's cool). That's it!! 🎼🎸🎶👍.....
Europ ecod John seems to be using hammer-ons and pull-offs on the Pentatonic Scale at the 5th fret here. (note: he seems to be tuned down a half step in this video) I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly the way he's playing it here, but it seems to be a lick very similar to the first thing Paul Gilbert teaches in a video on RU-vid if you search for "Paul Gilbert-Shred Lesson Part 1." Add a wah pedal, and it should sound pretty close.
MimicDaravon same as you , i tried to play that lick (tuned down a half step ) but for some reason if i play in the same frets ( 6.7.8 ) it doesn't sound like him. i'll check that paul gilbert lesson.
Europ ecod It doesn't really LOOK like it, but it sounds like he's picking 5 on the 1st string, then 8 on the 2nd string, pulling-off to 5 on the 2nd string, then picking 7 on the 3rd string, then picking 5 on the 2nd string, hammering-on 8 on the 2nd string, then repeating the whole sequence. He would be barring his index finger across the 5th fret on strings 1, 2, and 3; and using his ring finger for 8 on the 2nd string, and middle finger for 7 on the 3rd string. Try clicking the gear icon on the video and setting the Speed to 0.5 or 0.25 to hear what it sounds like slowed down.
