I have a 330d. Solid cars. The 30d engines are bombproof, mine has done 267k miles and is still going.

Good video wouldn’t of gone m6 toll though it takes you east and sort of out of your way lovely up in the highlands probably the best part of the drive

Very possible to do this challenge in a good diesel car. But it does take quite a bit of mental discipline, restraint and some plain old commonsense (I.e. stop for breaks and snacks, give yourself at least one if not 2 longer breaks of about an hour, get out of the car stretch your legs and get some fresh air into your lungs).

Amazing fuel economy! I have a 19 plate 330d xdrive and the best I can get is 45 mpg with or with out ecopro, I think the Adblue affects the MPG as I had a 14 plate 330d before this and 50 MPG was easy to get.

Made a hypermiling test with my 2020 530xd touring last weekend. Only 120km, half Autobahn and half country roads. I average 4,4 l/100km or 53.4 mpg. Maybe it will be better on summer tire and only Autobahn behind a truck. 😁

Simple maths, 835 miles ÷ 81 litres × 4.5 = 46mpg, That car will easily do 46mpg. Why did you go M6 toll it's completely the wrong way and you blew it.
