John Peel's Sounds of the Suburbs - Isle of Wight (1/2) 

Thanks to citypoison for this !!! A 1999 Channel 4 series in which John Peel visits British towns that spawned musical trends. John Peel visits the pensioner dominated Isle of Wight and talks to The Jones' vocalist Chizz. He meets Rosie of girl punk band Wargasm. Noise laws keep sound low by limiting some bands to 'duos'. Mark and Josh run 'Shady Acorns' which manufactures and disribute vinyl 12" records across the world and sells between 3 and 1000. Prolific Paul Butler started a recording studio and has been involved in 5 albums on the Holistic label. Max Brennan is another prolific self recorder. Lucy, lead singer of 'Void' is content but may need to move to London.
