"This guitar was forged in the fires of Mount Doom, tempered on a magical anvil in Valhalla, and fitted with ancient Reaper technology. This switch gives you a 20dB boost. This one kills everyone." "It has a built-in harmonizer that sends my notes back in time from a parallel universe where I played the harmony part instead."
signature guitars(in general, not just this one) seem to be quite overpriced for what they are. if i were you i'd find a really good sounding guitar, and maybe take it to a good luthier to make any necessary adjustments. but yeah a job would be a good idea even if you decide to get a more affordable guitar.
sabin97 The thing is with these JP sig guitars, they're WELL worth the price they ask for them, shit, even their cheaper $600 models are fucking amazing for the price
I dont know why alot of people dont like this guitar, I love this guitar, it looks amazing and looks like its easy and fine to play. Its also has a original look. I hope Guitar Santa goes around the world to give us the guitar
I have to say that I think John Petrucci is really an asset to Music Man. I'm not just talking about his incredible musicianship, but I think he's an open and really likeable sales representative for the instrument and Music Man. Its clear that a lot of his really precise artistic requirements have made their way into the production models and that's gotta be a good thing. (Although, I wish I was wealthier to buy one!)
I don't know about anybody else, but even though I'm a guitar player I've always liked the body shapes of bases. Right when I saw this guitar I was like "yes! Finally!" Plus its got extremely good access even more than an ibanez.
I bought the JP13-7 and although the silver colour is a bit "boring", it's an example of perfection and it both plays and sounds like a dream! I don't like the new Majestic at all purely on looks but we all are different! Music Man has really stepped forward the last few years to become the best and most innovative guitar manufacturer in the world and I'm sure many of the other premium guitar makers look at Music Man and say - why didn't we think of that? Regardless if you buy the new Majestic or an JP13 - you will get value for money!
I really try hard not to be a fangirl and gush about his gear, but honestly, this is everything I want in a guitar. Really like the fret access on it. Can't wait to play one!
For what ive read most ppl say its ugly blablabla, tbh this is by far the best looking guitar ive seen in years, as far as the rest goes, tone capabilities, playability, ergonomics, weight etc etc etc this guitar just tops everything else in the market, and considering it costs 1k less than any decent competiror i must say.......u have my money.
the first fret inlay is gorgeous..the rest of it reminds me of a spaceship. I wish someone would a/b this tone-wise with his original PBS guitar/Ibanez...
I think the best type of guitar any one can design, is something like this one, that has so much versatility. Petrucci is an amazing metal guitarist, but what I can tell in how he wants his signature models designed is that any one of any genre can play it.
I just got mine shipped to me last week. It is so much better looking in person. Compared to the other JP lines it is super light...extremely light. I wish EBMM would ship these with the action a bit lower...that would be my only complaint. It's like giving an MLB pitcher a softball and expecting the same results. Overall very pleased.
I think he meant the wild strength and spirit of a stallion, which inspires car-manufacturers too. Ford named one of their flagship cars after a free-roaming American horse-the Mustang.
Visit my RU-vid channel to check more videos of that sweet Blue 7 string Majesty I got recently! Amazing instrument! Cheers and bravo Ernie Ball Music Man for making the best instruments ever! #proud
That is one badass guitar. If I were going to drop $2500 on a new guitar, it would not be for a Les Paul Custom, it would be for this baby right here. This thing is sweet.
@@perpetualshred6024 there are people who believe that a guitar's tone comes 100% (or for the most part) from the wood used to make the guitar, and other people believe that it's not true, you can get great tone regardless of the wood.
I love the look of this. I think the features are pretty fantastic, as he says, it's very versatile. You can probably do anything on that thing. Hefty price tag though
2:37 "Some of the other cool features of the guitar, is recessed toggle switches, which make it really easy to get it to." *tries to flip the switch and misses*
I'm not a guitarist, but this thing looks gorgeous. On the other hand: If you have the opportunity to design a guitar from scratch... Why still trying to resemble an acoustic guitar instead of discarding everything that is just not necessary on the body? Do I need these "horns"? JP is taking about access. Why not cut everything away, that might get in your way? And "tone wood"? On a electric guitar...? Purely technical approach on my side 😊
I ditched my wife and kids so I could afford this guitar and my other 14 JP models and the new model that will replace this in 6 months. Thank you John for changing my life for the better.....(Just my life, my kids and wife are doing terrible)
I agree.... This guitar is SO hot, it will melt the sun if you stand too close, which you are! Also, it forces the moon into orbit moving oceanic tides! Also, if you look at it the right way, you can tell there are many galaxies that are just exploding upon sight, Also...lol!!!
I play violin and ebony makes balance on the bright side of the instrument so as maple.. its like if you sand the ebony is gonna sound brighter and noisy
Why doesn’t the coil tap work with the pickups individually? Second JP guitar video I’ve seen in which he specifically states the coil tap works when the pickups are used together.
Hello John Petrucci, that is an awesome guitar! Question for you. I know your tremolo bridge incorporates piezo for your acoustic mode, but how does the tuning hold up on that? I see nothing that indicates this is a locking tremolo. I would be concerned about falling out of tune. Since it is your guitar, what has been your experience with it holding tune?
None of the JP since he's been with Ernie Ball, have locking bridge/nut configurations. Only locking tuners. I can tell you anecdotally, that the JP series (I cant say re: the majesty) stay in tune incredibly. I beat the shit out of my guitars live and my JP gets the heaviest treatment, and always holds tuning. I like them so much I've retro fitted the Schaller M6 tuners to other guitars of mine, they're that good.
Seen him yesterday live, he was doing the craziest trem action but still were in tune but of curse they were checked in the break so every song he had a new guitar. Just for the record here in Germany one Majesty costs 3.7 grand so in total he had like 22000 euro worth of guitars with him ..... I would give anything to have one of those great sounding Guitars! gotta save some money :D
Personally I was always worried about my right hand while playing, resting it on the face of the guitar. I just realized John does the same, I haven't seen many others do it. At least I know now it's not the reason for my shit playing...
''I'll like to talk about some of the features of Majesty that make it unique and unlike any other JP signature guitars... Like changing color in a matter of seconds..''
im going to tell my nephew about this guitar, im a strat junky so its not for me but my nephew is nuts bout demons and music for the devil so i think this will tune him into what he's looking for !
