I was 5'5"/150lb, when I joined the USMC in 1978. Although it was years after 'Nam, the upper ranks still looked at me as "tunnel-rat material". That's one job I'm glad I missed. Thank you, older, brother Vets who did.

Thank you Lord bringing my grandpa home.we are thankful and Blessed. My Grandpa seen Pearl Harbor go to peaces. My Grandpa went through that with a monkey on his shoulder . Saved his life. Thank you Father my Lord Love and praise you 💖💖 Love you grandpa forever and ever. Thank you Father my Lord for all the precious moments I got to spend with grandpa.
What a beautiful tribute. Oh, my, goodness!! My daddy did something similar to get in the Navy about 4 months before he was old enough. It was the tail end of the war and he was mustered out not long after he went in. He joined the Army afterward but kept the "new" birthdate for military purposes. We always celebrated his birthday twice. He retired after 29 years of service, if my memory is correct. He passed nearly 9 years ago at the age of 84. I was proud to be an Army brat when he was serving, and I'm proud to be one even now.
He says it like it is. My father fought in WW11 and the Korean War did the same thing was 17years old and got in. He was married while being inlisted. After getting out he became a Graves Veterans Officer for over 30 years as a second job while bringing up nine children. My family grew up with respecting the flag and what it stands for like '"Pledge of Algence " We need to bring it back....
Love the fact that John Rich took a moment to brag on his grandpa!!! My grandpa was a member of the "Greatest Generation" as well... He was the greatest man I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.

Thank You for this song John RIch, However let us not forget our veterans from other conflicts, such as Korea, Vietnam, and Desert Storm. We lose 21 vets a day. Due to non combat related stresses.
