I preferred Stan Ridgway when he was with Wall of Voodoo. The only song of theirs I really know is "Mexican Radio".

well it's a fun one but there's a lot more to them, Ridgway only did two albums with them they are both excellent and quite fun to listen to but not bluesy or anything, it's more electronics and little percussions everywhere with great guitars, dark rock with tongue in cheek lyrics. It became more Coldwave with their third album and change of singer. The first two solo albums by Stan ridgway are very good too

haha ! very funny (no disrespect) reaction, I know it"s not dark or anything apart from Burt being squashed by the Steinway Grand (did you notice that beautiful sound of the piano crashing ?) but I love the lyrics, always tongue in cheek with Stan Ridgway. I am not such a fan of the music here, he doesn't really do that kind of slow stuff. But there's always interesting characters and situations in his stories. I think you've done reaction to his former band Wall Of Voodoo. and you've probably heard his most famous track about a dead soldier in vietnam called Camouflage ? which was quite famous your side of the atlantic I think. Oh and there's something I wonder about the lyrics; when he goes 'out on the water where the sailing men all go ... the water's high while all the fish swim low", any idea what this mean ? is it some sort of saying or expression ???

A lot to digest here. I don't recall hearing the crashing Steinway. Now i have to relisten to it. I also don't remember if I've done Wall of Voodoo. I've done almost 700 reactions on this channel. can't remember every single one I've done. I also have not heard Camouflage, but I'm very intrigued on that. I think given the context of the lyrics its basically the worst thing possible that could happen does. The fisherman are high above the fish, so the fish are safe from being caught.
